could be a decent fit...but the amount of Cubans there and then kap wearing the Castro shirt, they say could be a public relations nightmare...

im thinking Cutler since Gase knows him quite well.

I agree. I could maybe see 2 of them if tickets were half-price. They're not, of course -- everything is full price and, as far as the fan expenses are concerned, treated just like a real game. But 4 is ridiculous, unnecessary, and nothing but a money grab by the owners. If I'm not mistaken, I don't even think the players are paid a game check until the regular season starts...?

2 of them sounds right...starters pretty much only play in last one anyway and even then it's maybe for 1 quarter

Actually, it's the third one that the starters traditionally play through half-time and even into the third quarter a bit. For years, when I had Panthers' season tix, that's the only one I went to (if the third happend to be at home) because it was by far the closest to a "real" game. And I had to pay full-price for both of the home exhibitions anyway; they were part of the package. I usually couldn't even give the other one away.

Renewed!

After another fantastic year of picking winners last season, I look forward to once again winning the AVS title. I recall 6 or 7 perfect weeks and then ran the table during the playoffs to finish the year with a 12 game lead, the biggest in Yahoo history; I was the talk of Yahoo Sports.

Just a few of the quotes:

"Amazing!"
"Best mind in football!"
"Money!"
"A pick'em God!"
"Brilliant!"

Hundreds more, but you get the idea. Anyway, enough about my pick'em greatness. Back to football.

If Ross apparently wasn't too concerned re: signing Kap before Tanny's injury, he's now probably very interested.

its gonna be him or Cutler...they are still pretty high on Matt Moore...I dont think Cutler comes in unless he is told he is the starter..its gonna be interesting I suppose. and yes Ross would have no problem bringing in Kap..

I feel for you, man. It's that time of year where you hold your breath and hope your team can make it to opening day without a major or long term injury. It's a day to day type of thing. Okay, we made it through today, let's make it through tomorrow. It's an exciting time, but it's also a stressful time.

I would be shocked -- didn't Kap once wear a Castro shirt (or was it Che?) as part of his protest toolbox? No way that flies in Miami.

He'll land somewhere; he's too good not to. But it will have to be somewhere where there is both a progressive fanbase and a progressive-thinking owner. It will be a Big Deal for a couple of weeks, then it will die down and go away except among a small faction of self-righteous nincompoops. At some point, somebody will do it and just get it over with.

Remember, the owners get the bulk of their fortunes from the TV contracts that are split equally among the teams. If a tiny fraction of the fanbase gets their nose twisted out of shape about nothing just because they really, really like getting their nose twisted out of shape about anything, who really cares?

Let 'em fume for awhile and then, you know, "we're on to Cincinnati". Life -- and the games -- will go on.

It has been every season for the last 17 years. The only way Miami wins the division is if they move to a different one. NFC West? There's a stadium available in San Diego.
