To say no AFC team can compete might be premature. No doubt they're the cream of the crop. Keep an eye on KC next year.

the KC team of last year wont be much different then the KC team of this year...well unless Romo stops there..but outside of that..same ole same ole.

I know everyone keeps linking Romo to KC but it won't happen. Unless he wants to play for backup money we don't want him. I agree NE is top of the food chain but I think that gap is lessening. Let me also say "IF" Romo goes to the Texans (I think he will) and somehow stays healthy (I don't think he will) they'll be dangerous.

id like to see Romo go to Denver...Denver can compete with the Pats if they had a QB.

As a Cowboys fan, and a Romo fan, I'd love to see it. While I'm not a Denver fan, they are the closest NFL team from here, and always on TV (so is Dallas unless they're on the same channel at the same time). Texans and KC would be good too... just want him to wind up at a good team in the AFC mainly.

I second GB, although you might see the patriots again. Atlanta is going to fall off the deepend this offseason. Similar to the cards in previous years

chadsmith013 02-22-2017 07:10 AM

looks like the switch from 2016 to 2017 has brought us some new contributors....i wonder if everyone from the old thread knows about the new 2017 thread

archiguy 02-22-2017 07:12 AM

They will if they go to the old thread and find it's been locked, or maybe they'll just see the new number in the title and put 2 and 2 2gether.

If Romo ends up in Houston with JJ back/Clowney AND they can all stay healthy then that is definitely a team that could win it all.

That said, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Raiders yet...horrible luck with Carr going down when he did but they have got the talent to make a run as well assuming that the QB gets back to 100%.

I agree with both of your points. The Raiders are going to be a handful for awhile. I'm a Chiefs fan and it was bittersweet winning the division like that. Although we lost Alex Smith for two weeks and still found a way to win. As for the Texans I believe their just a QB away from being dangerous.

Ha ha.

The key is keeping both Romo and Watt healthy if that scenario played out. Sadly I think both of them are one big hit away from calling it a career.

i agree with that too...but if healthy..they can cause some damage

I'm going to be curious to see how many LA Chargers (still sounds weird) games at StubHub Center in Carson, now officially the smallest venue in the NFL, will NOT be sellouts. I mean we're only talking about a place that only holds 27,000 (30,000 if the mods for football go in place). The Bolts have good players, but they get injured a lot.

Also, is the 72-hour home sellout rule officially dead or will it come back?

I used to live in San Diego for 4 years (awesome place), have always had a soft spot for the Chargers...it sucked seeing them leave..especially to a place that already has a team and a place that doesn't care about them at all...i don't see this working out.

Nayan 02-23-2017 06:38 AM

Oh Jamis, you've come a long way, but have a long way to go even still...
