I'm out. I was hoping they would improve the writing and acting from season 1 but its just crap. I can't even sit through it as background noise it is so bad.

There is a reason that my GF and I have been together for twenty four years. This would not be the case if we were lying to each other regularly like many people do for some weird reason. I have always seen people doing this on a regular basis. Not telling their significant other things that they should be telling them. And to me it never made sense. And it just causes many issues in the long run.

No Gifted during the World Series. Probably not a good sign I feel relieved.

I was wondering why last night's ep was completely devoid of plot and acting.

I'm sure we can all agree there's a big difference between lying about going to a strip club, or whether a dress makes your girlfriend look fat, and lying about having special powers you can't control that make a file cabinet crumble in seconds or that you've agreed to spy on your SO's underground movement for a shady mutant who lives in the sewers and has his own army.

Where is the joy? No one happy. No one better for the experience. If they are so glum how do I root for them?

Definitely none of the characters are happy, and the Inner Circle seems quite vindictive.

There are five more episodes (16 episodes were ordered for Season Two), so I will probably stick with it. But I won't be disappointed if the show isn't renewed.

I think I'm done with this show. Not that I didn't like it, but this now the 4th time I've somehow missed a recording.

Before you say it, I am old school in that I manually set up my recordings each night. I don't trust the whole record first run option as I've been inundated in the past with many recordings that weren't.
Anyway, it's obvious that I don't care enough about this show that I keep not seeing it. I will miss Lauren's running scenes though.

My DVR missed the ending of the latest episode. Jace was laying on a bed and his phone rang. He stood up to answer it and that's where my DVR stopped. How'd it end? They made it look like the phone call was significant to him.

It was his wife who wanted to talk. He eventually hung up on her but told her he loved her.

Thanks for the recap. The Jace storyline is bogging down the show.

Marvel's 'The Gifted' on FOX

I don’t recall if this has been canceled or not. If canceled that was an ok series finale.

Ratings: Lethal Weapon Dips With Finale, While The Gifted Stays Low
By Matt Webb Mitovich, TVLine.com - Feb. 27, 2019

Fox Lethal Weapon wrapped Season 3 (at the very least) on Tuesday night with 3.1 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating, down a tenth in the demo week-to-week (though shy of its all-time low of 0.6). Read a recap of the finale, which TVLine readers gave an average grade of “A-.”

Fellow bubble drama The Gifted then closed its sophomore run with 1.7 mil and a 0.5 (and an average grade of “A-“), adding a few eyeballs week-to-week while holding onto its demo low.

I finally binge-watched the final 5 episodes. I enjoyed this season and they better do a season three, because I want to see what is on the other side of the portal. I think it is somewhere in the future. What was used to open the portal was not how it was normally done. BTW, I knew she wasn't dead.

‘The Gifted’ Canceled By Fox After 2 Seasons, Marvel Drama Could Potentially Find New Home At Disney

Quote:
Fox has opted not to renew its sophomore drama series The Gifted for a third season.
The family adventure series, set in Marvel’s X-Men universe, comes from 20th
Century Fox TV, which is now part of Disney. I hear that there have been no real
conversation but that there is a chance for The Gifted to potentially find a new home
within the Disney family. The show is produced by Marvel Television, which currently
has series on Disney-owned Freeform and Disney-controlled Hulu. (Disney+’s Marvel
series come from the company’s movie division.)

I'm hopeful Disney will move it to one of their streaming services. Since Disney owns it now. I would certainly still watch it if it moved to a streaming service.

Can't wait for Disney to reboot the XMen universe and do it properly....now we just have to see how terrible Dark Phoenix (#3?) is going to be...

Glad I stopped watching this

It didn't have to be bad.

"Legion", Logan and Deadpool are all examples of how good an X-men property can be.

Yes, the three exceptions that somehow didn't turn out absolutely ****ty....

Love Legion...but Noah Hawley is sort of genius
Logan was decent.... James Mangold finally found something that worked for Wolverine - unfortunately - the entire film made zero sense in the Fox X-Men universe
Deadpool...well, I mean, Ryan Reynolds was born to play him...how could you hate how much fun those movies were?
