Seems like this season has almost no plot line about getting food. Meaning fish. Which is about the only protein available, besides the chickens. Which are also missing.

They commented on the chickens last week, they mentioned them and said they were also out of them. Sounds like they ate them instead of using them for eggs.

Surprised that no one noticed in the first vote tonight that only 10 votes were counted.

In space, no one can hear you scream . . .

I didn’t get the voting last night. Why did Desi vote for Lauren? And why didn’t the majority alliance vote for Joe after the tie?

Joe needs to Go .. how and why he's still around is a mystery to me .. he is a much more dangerous player and will attempt more mayhem .. unless the old "If I take him to Final Tribal he's a great Goat" theory is in play .. which could easily backfire and hand Joe the Million since he can talk up his aggressive play ..

And the "Human Calculator" Chrissy, (and every one else) failed to note the vote count of 10, not 11 .. why did no one wonder what happened to that last vote before a tie was declared .. ??

I also think Advantages are getting to be way too frequent .. 7 Idols and Advantages in 8 Episodes .. ?? Come on ..

I was expecting the Olive Garden crew to pop out of the Jungle during the Spaghetti Reward ..

In an article, Jeff said that no one said anything about the missing vote. Lauren and Ben (as far as we know) were the only ones that knew that she would not be entering a vote. Desi voted for Lauren (huh?) and Joe voted for Ben. And then there was the 4-4 tie. So they could have assumed that the last vote was meaningless and Jeff did not bother to read it. He does not always read all the votes if they are inconsequential.

if Joe or Desi had written the other’s name down, that would have broken the tie. But I guess they didn’t know the votes were going to go or that there would a missing vote. They showed the group trying to bring Dr. Mike in to fill in Lauren’s
vote, but they didn’t show why Cole voted against Joe. I don’t know why Desi stuck with Joe for so long. I guess she figured she would ride his coattails. She should have tried to form another alliance. But I guess she was already marked a strong competitor and threat. I still don’t know why she got voted out before Joe.

As for the Spaghetti reward. That looked more like it was sponsored by Chef Boyardee!

There was a commercial for Ragu Spaghetti sauce just before the scene of their meal, & that coincidence made me really think I'd see Jars or signs for Ragu when the show returned ....

Serious question: does Jeff always read every vote at tribal? For some reason I was thinking that he only read the votes out loud up until it was a mathematical certainty of the vote. Hypothetical example:

There are 10 people voting and only 2 are getting votes to leave.

Person 'A' gets 2 votes.

Person 'B' gets 8 votes.

He'll likely alternate reading the first 4 votes so that "we're tied" after reading the first 4 votes. After that, he's only got Person 'B's votes to read. Once he's read 8 votes, it would be "A has 2 votes, B has 6 votes"--meaning, there's no point in reading the remaining 2 votes because 'B' already got 6 so he/she is going home.

I didn't think he necessarily reads every vote at every tribal council, and if true, that may explain why nobody vote-counted. Maybe they just assume Jeff wouldn't proceed if there's a mathematical impossibility of the other person staying so they just go with it.

... Yes, there would never be a reason to leave one vote in the jar if there's a "Tie" just before ....

If A & B are tied (with more than one vote) and C has zero. The last vote in the jar for C is irrelevant. Typically once it's determined doesn't he stop right there versus revealing the remaining votes? That's enough...

What grossed me out was them eating the spaghetti and then biting it off and letting it fall back into the pile. Ugh, I'd pass.

I would have to be so crippled with hunger that I could barely walk and had to crawl to the table, then I would consider it.

CBS right now is blacked out for me because of another Dish contract dispute. I wonder if it will be up by tomorrow, time will tell. These type of things are getting old, they blame each other, yet in the long run Dish raises the prices.

Did Mike think he was making some earth shattering game play? Because it was weak at best, they still voted Cole which the editing tried to make us think otherwise.

yeah, his game play at tribal was just a Tad weak and pointless, he wasted his idol for no good reason, Dr. Foolish. At least an idol will be back in play for future mayhem.

From the get go he tried to act like he was making a huge move, telling Joe to just follow his lead. Like you said, him playing his idol was pointless.

This a pure money grab by the networks charging more to Dish for rights to a signal they broadcast for free over the air and in turn Dish needs to raise their prices. It make no sense to me as the networks would want as large a viewing public to increase their ratings and sell more commercials that pay for it all anyways.

It seems that it’s only CBS that has contract disputes. I never hear of ABC or NBC threatening to pull their shows.

I'm sure there has never been a situation where Jeff refused to reveal votes to the contestants, when the unread vote(s) may have the possibility of changing the outcome until shown...
He has left unread votes in the jar, but only when it is already clear to the sitting contestants that the outcome has been clearly decided from the already shown votes such as when "5 is enough majority, the rest can't matter" ...
This was simply a case of the players not realizing a vote was missing, & I'm sure Jeff had a statement ready for the players if they did ...
