Even if Isaac ends up "saving" the day.......he is still responsible for countless Union officer deaths...he was feeding the homeworld information all along....many crew members died even if he did not pull the trigger. it would make ZERO sense and be really a cheap cop-out if somehow he remains as if nothing happened after this two parter concludes.

He needs to die...or at the very least be gone.....anything else would really really ruin this episode(s).

Its almost as bad as my fear that somehow Star Wars will try to redeem Kylo...the man that murdered Han Solo in cold blood. Anything short of a Wookie ripping off his arms is unacceptable.

You know they'll end up "rebooting" his CPU so he's a brand new robot soul or something corny like that.

If the show really wants to be taken seriously as scifi/Trek, next week is his final episode. You wanna make your mark Seth? Do it.

It may be more interesting in the long run to have him around as a pariah among the crew, working to re-earn their trust.

He can do a LOT of 'splainin' to justify his actions up to the point of helping out.

After all, the point of the Union is to explore new forms of life and be accepting of others POV- as long as he claims and proves he was not aware of the takeover plan until after he was "shut down" on the ORV or thereabouts.

Could be he was shut down because Prime became aware of his intent to side with the Union

Considering the severity of his "deception"..I just don't think that will fly.

While this was a very good episode....Seth has really set himself up for failure since the only viable resolution is something very very few TV shows have been willing to do.

I guess we will find out next week.

Personally I think this would have made a far far better season end cliffhanger but oh well.

.
If he turns and helps the Union, we may find out that Isaac had zero knowledge of the Kaylon plan/intent- perhaps never aware, or had his memory wiped prior to his Orville assignment by Kaylon leaders so that to Isaac, his only mission was as stated initially- learn, observe for the purpose of Union membership (or not).

Kaylon Kontrol shut him down when they detected his affinity for hoomans

Finally, a good episode! Something is actually on the line. Looking forward to the conclusion.

As to Issac's knowledge, I think it is pretty clear he knew all along. As to how that will be resolved, who knows. I have a couple of thoughts which I will keep to myself until I see how it plays out.

Really good CG in this ep. With "beauty" shots of the planet, the city, and the ship itself.
Spoiler!

I suspect they had to do a lot of emotion-based (CG-less) eps to start the season in order to pay for that.

Wow I should have paid attention that the title of the episode was (1) meaning part 1 of 2 (or more)
It was great, until I realized "crap there's no way they can wrap this up in time".

The real reason Isaac didn't keep the kids drawing was because, he had no pockets. Also kind of funny, he just casually strolls off the ship and goes for a walk-about. I don't know about you guys, but i don't think i would give the code to an outer door into space, to a little kid. If Captain Ed knew whats good for him, he would not have mentioned all them bones, said his goodbyes and got the hell out of there.

For Rgb, a little mindless Spock.

Of course he did, because deep down, he's a moron. I suspect it's supposed to be an endearing quality in his character, but I just find it annoying. I absolutely hate plots driven by the stupidity of the characters.

And let the doctor go with "him".

BTW, I was thinking that maybe the name Isaac is a tribute to Isaac Asimov, the father of all things robotic in the Sci-fi world. 3 Laws of Robotics and all that.

If he had cut and run without telling the Kaylons, probably wouldn't have changed anything- Kaylons would have said "Sorry we can't let you do that Dave" and/or stopped them with technical means/force as they departed.
