Survivor 36 Ghost Island CBS HD Feb 28th, 2018

Survivor 36 Ghost Island CBS HD Feb 28th, 2018

Sounds like a good one, and an all new Cast, which I personally like ..

The next installment of the Emmy Award-winning SURVIVOR taking place in Fiji debuts with a special two-hour episode on Wednesday, Feb. 28 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), after BIG BROTHER and THE AMAZING RACE conclude. It moves to its regular Wednesday (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) time period on March 7

Jeff Probst described Ghost Island as “the graveyard for bad Survivor decisions,” and said the players will have the chance to “reverse the curse of some of the worst decisions in Survivor history.”

I was confused by the previews and Jeff’s explanation. I thought the knuckleheads who did these boneheaded moves were getting a second chance.

No, it looks like a new batch of Boneheads .. and that's fine with me .. although I'm sure there will be a season in the near future where old boneheads come back ..

New boneheads with things that made old boneheads go home, that's what I got from the trailer.

It looks like the series is locked in on tropical islands now. I guess our ideas about Survivor Antarctica or Survivor Sahara didn't get any consideration.

They did Survivor Africa and it was rather boring.

You should be careful in today's climate throwing out gender statements.

I am really puzzled as to why James was swimming that leg if he was unable to dive down and release the buoys. Did we see some scripted challenge to give us this feel good moment about Donathan being the hero? Some decent eye candy, Libby is yummy, me likey.

Gonzalez was annoying. Too aggressive, too soon. And I’m not just saying that because she’s female. I think the contractor older dude is playing too hard right away too.

I really liked how they changed the opening and didn't do the same old, on a boat - grab what you can, etc. and instead went right into a challenge. I think that guy blew it by aborting the challenge to early, but oh well. Off to a great start, looking forward to this season!

He could not wait any longer, if he wanted to guarantee the fishing gear. Any later and the sand would have run out, so they would have got just the rice, pot, and machete.
Then, he, Sebastian, and Desiree would have been big targets because they got nothing.

Well with Gonzales gone, I can reduce my dosage of fluoride eye drops!

I agree though that she made the mistake of of over playing the fierce, clever and confident card.

In the second hour, they had that classic Survivor scenario (and edit job). Jacob the easy mark tells all...Then instead of Stephanie reporting this info to the tribe, a side plot is shown to add tension. Surprise! It doesn't pan out and we are left wondering what was told to the tribe. Wouldn't expect she would mention the advantage info of course. I guess I was just looking forward to a laughter filled conversation as she tells the others how he spilled the beans.

Yes, Libbys on tropical islands just go very well together!

Is there a Hurley for this Libby? Oops, he just got voted off!

I know they can’t air the events that lead the majority to vote out Gonzalez so it doesn’t spoil the suspense of tribal council, but I would like to know what transpired for the group to go with her instead of Donathon.

I haven’t seen the second hour yet, but it sounds like there are some other unaired conversations that would be good to see.

It seemed spontaneous to an extent... once she got up and started approaching other players it solidified their decision

That is how it looks like it went down. If you watch it again, she gets up and starts talking to everyone and when she moves away, those people then talk to other people, I think it was this second conversation that they said her because of what she was doing.

What's up with the Shoulder Tote Bags .. ??

Cochran wanabe needed to go .. the dude was just annoying as hell .. and not a good liar ..

thumbs up to Libby ..

Personally, I would have let the first challenge play out and not dumped the tiles .. it did not look like either player was ahead of the other ..

Just a great start to what I hope shapes up to be a great Season ..

Oh, and Gonzalez .. ?? You can kick my ass anytime ..

( Hindsight..)
In the dump the tiles challenge, I would have, as the leader, told the group to make the decision ( " We're in this together, I'll forfeit when You guys shout out a consensus it's time to dump the tiles") ...
That way, any animosity about the decision by a member of the group would probably be directed at another group member(s), not the leader ( construction guy: " Those 4 morons started shouting dump the tiles, not my idea.." ) ..
