They can't get back into the plane to fly thru that storm like other SiFi shows because the plane blew up..

I wanted to like it. HMM.. The lead lady, Melissa Roxburgh, there is something about her chin, or her, not buying in. She was on a C/W Series last year and was un-likeable. Will give it a couple more looks and then make a call...

I expected one and done, but it sort of grabbed me. I'm thinking the hook is interesting enough to keep me in for a few more episodes. Time will tell.

She was on Valor last season and was a real downer as a CIA agent. I’m having a hard time shaking that poor acting job.

Ever since the end of the first episode on Monday evening, I keep hearing this voice repeating in my head. It just keeps saying: "cancel it...cancel it...cancel it..."

Maybe since at the end of the premiere episode,
Spoiler!

maybe all the passengers will likewise
Spoiler!

That would neatly tie up the loose ends!

Yawn. They went overboard on the emotional heart strings. I could watch the overall story arc, but I have no interest in plodding through the inevitable passenger story of the week. I think I will leave this to you people that have a desire to watch everything.

For me it's the eyebrows. They are too thick and I personally hate the dark eyebrow/blond hair combo. It's looks unnatural to me.

Resemblance

Melissa Roxburgh's face reminded me STRONGLY of some other actress. But, I couldn't remember who it was. Then, by chance, it struck me. The person I was thinking of is Shirley Eaton (in her younger years). I'm not saying they are identical. But, I see a great resemblance. What do you think?

So who shot the lady watching tv? Was it a ghost that the kid drew in the drawing?

One scenario may be that a "hit man" from some agency in the government did it to quiet the lady. IIRC, she had been mouthing off in the news about a government conspiracy that caused the 5.5 year disappearance. Perhaps some agency had actually created some sort of a "time jump" device. And, when tried, it malfunctioned causing the 5.5 year delay. I'm sure the reason will be forthcoming in future episodes.

Interesting the eyebrows are thicker in the second pic than in the first. Since you don't see them like they very often these days, the eyes can be drawn to that.

I liked the second episode. I can handle shows like that if the characters are likeable and/or believable. I find most of them this way, so I'll stick with it for the time being.

I didn't like Ep02 much. SciFi'ish shows need a central theme. What is this one's theme?

Voices? Family relationships?

The jewelry store boy story was blah.

So, the same guy and his sister on the Airplane Out Of Time gratuitously solves the kidnapped kid case with no clues, and a couple of days later he solves a massive theft with no clues. Any bets this will go unconnected?

I replayed that section a couple of times (three times if you count the initial playing of the episode from beginning to end). I can see the shadow of a person approaching her while she is watching the TV, and she doesn't seem aware of that shadow or who is casting it.

It is clear to me that someone shot her.

But, at this point, I am deleting Manifest from my schedule. The second episode barely kept me awake and I have other shows more interesting to me than this meandering drama with voices and music and conspiracies, oh my!

My very humble setup:
Spoiler!

I'm more concerned with the fact that after telling his sister to keep off the radar, he goes around asking everyone "can you hear that?" "Can you hear that music?" though half the episode.

After hearing voices no one else can hear, you'd think he'd be smart enough to keep his mouth shut about stuff like that.

He's like the guy in time travel stories that even when he knows he's been sent back in time to the 1600's, he still asks people if he can use their telephone.

We all remember the tagline "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World."

For Manifest, the plot so far seems to be Saving the human race, one person per episode...

And "Wife Who's Lost That Lovin' Feelin' For The Brother of Dysfunctional Lady Cop" boyfriend who we haven't seen yet and I bet he's someone who will figure into the overall storyline, maybe he's that shadow character who blew out whistleblower lady's brains.

It's a good thing the storylines about each of the people is pretty good. Because, like many shows like this, the main premise is being slow walked to death.

Anyone else notice when the mental hospital was on lockdown they were able to leave out a side door with no one noticing? So much for a lockdown.
