I didn't know about him until way after I saw Saving Private Ryan so when I revisited it the other day, I was surprised to see he was the false Private Ryan.

Is it just me or is the bad guy in the OP clip the same actor as was in the Fifth Element in Willis' apartment building when the police are doing a search and Jovavich switched name plates and he's the "wrong" Corbin Dallas who says "Smoke You!" and gives the cops the finger...? (I tried the IMDB correlation search but these parts may be too small to be credited)

It's a comedic cop show starring Nathan Fillion, created by one of his producers from Castle. What exactly are you expecting them to keep real?

Honestly, I was expecting Castle...The Rookie pilot was way better than expected. Actual emotion and drama...

I think ABC may have a winner if they keep up this quality. Solid cast

Pleasantly surprised. Not as bad as I thought it could be. But there is something about Nathan that I just really enjoy watching. He does his roles so good. Big fan of him.

Pretty sure Nathan's acting will be on point, not sure if that is enough for the entire show.

I thought it was ok, but not super fantastic. I'll continue to watch and see how it goes just because I like him. But if it gets cancelled, maybe he can back to Firefly!

I honestly didn't expect much from this show but I loved the pilot episode. I was very pleasantly surprised and look forward to the rest of the season. In my opinion, MUCH better than "The Good Cop" with Tony Danza.

Cord cutters take note, I found this series FS on Amazon today: full season pass for $5.99. Hard to pass up. That might go away in a day or so.

We liked it alot. Reminded us a little of Adam 12, if anyone remembers that show. I hope the quality stays this high.

It's funny you say that because I'm an Adam-12 fan and I thought the pilot had a definite Adam-12 feel to it. My wife and I talked about that after watching the first episode.

As did I. I have been watching Adam 12 on Hulu recently. Used to watch it as a kid.

I forgot about this... Kept looking for it, but it started several weeks after almost everything else, so by the time it finally aired I forgot it... will have to go back and find it to watch. I want it to be good.

Started with Dragnet and went street with Adam 12. Expanded to Emergency which brought me to St Elsewhere and ER. Transferred to Third watch and Southland then went All Chicago all the time. Toss in a few Blue Bloods and NYPD Blue and I guess it is amazing I have never performed a Citizen Arrest or emergency tracheotomy.

I go back on this further. In 1947 I attended a live 30-minute radio drama broadcast at KGO San Francisco. The show was Pat Novak for Hire and starred a fellow named Jack Webb.

Emergency! is my favorite. When it left Netflix I bought the series on DVD so I could continue my viewing enjoyment. I can't wait until it's available to stream again because the PQ is better.
