Wasn't Mike White on The Amazing Race?

Seriously, of all the audition tapes, they can't find someone else that hasn't already been on one of their other shows?

I think the operative word in that was "rumored".

1:38 of the preview video, you clearly see him.

So, I say again, of all the people sending in audition tapes, they couldn't find someone new instead of recycling someone from another CBS show?

I question their definition of "Goliath". I am not sure a girl that hasn't done much but said she graduated from Yale should be considered a Goliath. I don't think graduating from a college should qualify as goliath, it should be what you have done with it and what you have done in your life.

Some nice eye candy. I expect them all to be gone in the next couple weeks.

Yeah, the whole David v Goliath thing doesn't make much sense to me either. It doesn't make sense to the contestants either, since Jef has to keep correcting them when they try to say what they think it is.

Dumb first challenge too, talk about giving it to the "Davids".

Still, I enjoyed the first episode and am looking forward to an interesting season.

I am very disappointed with the eye candy. These kind of theme tribes never really matter, if things get too unbalanced, they just make them swap or do a draw for new tribes, etc etc.

The two blondes are kind of interchangeable. They could swap tribes and no one would really notice. Except, of course, the cop who is ready to propose to the Goliath blonde.

Who do you think was 9n the chopping block for the Davids if the big guy hadn’t been injured? The lawyer dude really gives lawyers a bad name.

It sounded like the lawyer dude (David?) was. The others were talking about him not working.

I sometimes wonder when I watch the opening of the new season if these people have ever watched Survivor before. It seems like someone always comes out and picks themselves as the construction boss, which is fine, but then starts rubbing everybody the wrong way and puts their name at the top of the list for the first tribal. This Premiere wasn't quite as bad as some in the past have been in that regard.
I like the fact that some of the gals realized that if they don't look for idols, they don't find them.

I have a feeling that robotic boy, is going to crack in some way at some point. The woman who says she is the boss of a big company and many will take a bullet for her, is not long for this game either.

For an hour and a half premier, I felt there was not that much to this first episode .. plenty of commercials, though ..

I think the loss of Construction Guy was a pretty big loss for the David's .. he may have been a bit of an ass, but he was a work horse, for sure .. and the "not politically correct" attitude was a little refreshing, to me anyway ..

Robo Kid .. I don't know, seems to be an over-thinker .. that will hurt him ..

Big Boss Lady on the Goliaths .. ?? I don't like her, she's likely an early boot out ..

Not a bad 1st episode .. the idea of a challenge on a barge right at the get go was interesting .. I did think, though, that they stacked the odds in favor of the David's ..

Had the same thoughts about the big boss lady and I thought the same in prior seasons about somebody that look like they were going to be an early out and they wind up making it if not the end very close to it.
Had the same thought about the brain kid when he picked the "crawl under the net" for the Davids in the obstacle course. I just knew from experience at Camp Pendleton that that is not nearly as easy as it looks at first blush.

I'd about lay odds on Big Boss Lady being one of the early vote outs on Goliath .. it's not just the Bossiness .. but, she's an "elder" contestant, which, as we all know, tend to go early ..

In my case, it was Ft Polk, LA ..

The editing made it seem like they were annoyed with him, then when he got hurt, its all we love you etc. So its really hard to tell how they felt about him.

When I saw they went 25 minutes before the first commercial, I told my wife it was a good thing we were watching on DVR - there'd be lots of commercials from here on out.

I was kind of rooting for the David's during the Challenge .. figuring that when they got to the puzzle Super Robo Nerd Kid would be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat ..

Is it just me, or does it seem like Idols are just getting pretty easy to find .. ??

I have seen him before...quite often actually...tv commercials...other shows, movies...he is an actor, director, videographer, writer
