According to Amazon's Roku comparison chart all the 4k Roku models support HLG. The BBC is the only provider I know for sure that has live streamed events in 4K / HLG. Fubo uses HDR 10 which would require an in house conversion if HLG was the production format.

I left T-M TV last month but I did have a conversation with them this week and they couldn't confirm FOX NFL! It seems that they should have had the capabilities to deliver the NASCAR events this year also BUT THEY 'DENIED THAT' when I inquired earlier this year. In the past they've always said see our 4K blog.

That was never 'current' when I tried months ago. This is their most current

Optimum has added this year's ALCS on FOX to their 4k schedule. Still nothing from NBC.

Looks like the ALCS games will all be unconverted from HD. I looked at the equipment list and it appears all the cameras, except for one Sony 8K camera for specialty use, are HD. I’m surprised, at this late date in the 4K era, they haven’t converted more equipment to 4K.

Is it possible because fox is doing 2 4K. Broadcast that night that some of their 4k camera are at the football game?

Fox will be doing 3 4K broadcasts total this week ...?
Just taking a wild guess here

I imagine it’s possible, but I’d love to see a complete list of all their mobile equipment. How many true 4K cameras do they own? Are you sure the football game is true 4K? That might lend more credibility to your theory.

The NBC ND game last week was phenomenal and there’s another this week. I got blasted last week for saying IMO the NBC presentation is more natural. To me Fox looks overly sharp. I also love how all the sites are saying this weeks ESPN are the first 4K games.

I could be mistaken , but i believe an article i read said only on DirecTV and now Xfinity , no streaming devices/apps

"In order to watch the ESPN 4K broadcast, users will need an eligible DirecTV or Comcast subscription package and 4K compatible equipment."

Does anyone know why the Fox Sports app or any other ones (ESPN, NBC Sports, Big Ten, etc.) don't have support for Dolby Digital or DD+ surround sound? Same question applies for all of the live TV streaming services. It seems we have to accept a huge audio regression in order to get a better visual experience. The extra bandwidth required to support this must be minuscule compared to the bandwidth required for 4k and HDR, so why are they skimping out on this?

Tonight's 4K game is the FSN Florida (orlando magic) broadcast

I wonder how they determine which broadcast to use, it's not always fox sports ?

The 4k feed is sourced from the truck, not the various networks. You see whichever network the truck is also feeding. The graphics package, bump music and so forth is all loaded into the truck's production equipment. The same truck can do a Fox Sports South production today, then turn around and do a CBS Sports production on Monday. If they're not moving, the same truck can do a college basketball game at noon for ESPN and an NBA game for FSN Wherever, that night. Doesn't take terribly long for an in-place turn around.

Most production trucks are owned by third-party vendors as it's cheaper and more efficient. Nearly all have a main and two backup backhauls. As one tech told me, "If we have to go all the way to the second backup - and it's happened - the picture's gonna suck."

so now that College Football regular season is over, there doesn't look to be any new FiOS live 4K programming (outside of Thursday Night Football)...Verizon really needs to add more 4K content

Not sure it's "amazing." 40 years of this nonsense - 20 with CBS - is enough for anyone to pick up all sorts of things. But thanks!!!
