Of course, BG knows Ford was just a bridge to eventual greatest sportscar maker of all time.
Truth be known, a GT40 in Gulf colors is a very strong 2nd place on my "Greatest Sports Car of All Time" list.

On a possibly related tangent, I note that The Ford vs. Ferrari trailer uses "Gimme Shelter", which is also used in "The Departed", and I think "Casino". Scorsese loves his Rolling Stones, but I was surprised to hear in in the FvF trailer.

Yeah it's a couple years older than the subject matter. Fits pretty well anyway.

Speaking of Porsche and Ferrari, it looks like the former was interested in F1. Of course Ferrari did their best to tie up the rules process to make sure that didn't happen.

I didn't get that from the article? They're probably just hurting from VW's "great deception" and don't want to admit it.

I believe that is because WEC/FIA/ACO have done their best to alienate the manufacturers.

Though a move to FE - where Audi is also present - was an "obvious idea", Enzinger said the six-cylinder engine concept was still pursued because an F1 engine without the MGU-H would "also be interesting for a super sports car".

For my 4 wheeled fanatic friends on here.

This quote is regarding Mugello and the MotoGP bikes racing there. Ha, and you thought F1 cars were fast, try this on 2 wheels. I thought I was going fast topping 170 at California Speedway on a track day!

QUOTE: "It wasn't just mid-corner where Marquez and Honda were impressive at Mugello, the latest RC213V is now able to slipstream past the Ducati, which had set a record-breaking speed of 356.7km/h (221.6mph) with Dovizioso in practice."

The F1 broadcast probably outspends the Indycar broadcast 20 or 30 to one. I'm sure they'd love to do more, but who's going to pay for it? They do alright with what they have.

I watched the Mugello MotoGP race. One of the best motor races ever. Really exciting from 1st lap to the last one.

“We are beginning to see more clearly the strengths and weaknesses of our car,” he said. “In the past six races, we were very strong in the corners but lost time on the straights. This will make Canada a huge challenge for us, as the track characteristics could favour our opponents – there are many long straights, and fewer corners in which to make up lap time. But we're looking forward to the challenge.” -Toto Wolff.

My heart can't take the suspense here. It's going to be a coin toss!

Yep, I never had the patience to wait for the N.A. races to record and ended up watching them live, suffering the commercials and all. Now that there's no commercial penalty, it feels quite luxurious.
