Bwaahaha, yeah sure. The PGA Tour has been fine without him and will continue to be so whenever he doesn't play. Yes he is the attendance and ratings needle when he shows up, but golf does not need him to move forward.
Hey, wonder when we're going to find out who that other rumored "big time celebrity", other than Bob Kraft, the Jupiter police got on surveillance video of their little local sex-slave sting? Maybe ol' Tiger's keeping a low profile because he's got some other major pain in the neck right now that he needs to "manage"?

I thought Shamus was on the case.

I much more concerned who he played golf with this year than a swing in the dark you guys are going down.

I think Bones is doing a fine job as an on course reporter. He adds some interesting commentary and points of view.

He is quite good. Seems like he's been doing this his whole life. Anybody know what the scoop was on his leaving Phil's bag? Was it because the "just grew apart", or Bones issuing one-too-many clubbing vetos, or Bones just wanting to leave caddying for an easier gig?

I think Phil thought it was time to move on. Its hard to say what really caused the separation.

I dunno. I would think a good caddie who really knows your game would be invaluable. They'd known each other a long time, were supposedly the best of friends. Officiated at each other's weddings, etc.

There's more to it. I'd just like to know what the whole story was/is.

It's all coming together and the story is unfolding.

Bummer it wasn't the "big celebrity guy" you thought thought it was.

I had a suspicion at the time, that Bones thought Phil should've been playing more than he was, and confronted him about it. Things escalated and the rest is history. All conjecture. No proof.

When this first came out I said that Robert Patriots found out about that place from another person, and it looks like that may have been the case.

If this is the case and I was Phil's caddie he would let me go long ago.

When he had Bones attend the pin on #18 at Torrey from a 115 yards out I would have told him to go jump in the lake before I would go up and look like a fool holding the pin.

Best, personal Arnold Palmer story in honor of Arnie’s tournament? Flash back to the early years of the PGA Tour - mid sixties. My dad took me during the week to the Carling World Open in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Back then, there were very few folks in the gallery during the work week. I remember lying down, right behind a tee off area and looking at Arnie tee off, praying that I didn’t sneeze — I was that close.

Then, my Dad went to follow a guy named Jack and I followed Arnold. On one hole, after Arnie teed off — I was walking by myself about 100 yards from the tee — no one within 50 yards of me, either way. Arnie walked extremely fast and soon he was walking right to the side of me. Then, he looks over, right in my eyes, and gives me that big Arnie nod. I melted right there in the fairway where I stood.

Arnold Palmer always had a connection to his fans. That’s what made him one of the most loved players in the history of golf. He always had time for you.

Groundswell of support for IM. T42 was '18 best. 3 Top 10s so far in '19 ($1.3M).

The Players always has the top to bottom strongest field in golf. A full field of all touring pros, not watered down like the majors with a limited field, qualifiers, amateurs or club pros.

In the past the Players Championship always had free streaming in the early rounds. I have not been able to find any information on free streaming this year . I have only seen the NBC gold pay package. Has anyone found any other streaming options? Thanks for any info.

Agree, though after all these years it still doesn't have the feel of a major. The May slot was its best chance at that. Golf then ran away from football, moving the PGA Championship to May. Bad move in my view. I liked The Players in May and the PGA Championship in August.

If that happens, he's going to need a "happy ending" to go with that massage. Fortunately, there's a local establishment that can help him out with that. He's probably got 'em on speed-dial.

By far the weakest major is the US Open and The Players should replace it.

I still want to see Tiger win a major but there's nothing that can restore the damage he did playing a round of golf with the disgusting one.
