So the Bucs and McCoy part ways and now we sign Suh? Seriously?!?!?!?

This just might make me root for someone else this season.

I really ought to act more like a woman of my advancing years, but I’m growing old disgracefully.

Suh has so much talent but he doesn't seem to want to be great on a consistent basis...

And that's what worries me. We've had a number of guys be hot one game and cold the next, no consistency is not how championships are won. I would like to think the changes we are making are for the better, but honestly I am not so sure.

the key as always with the Bucs lies with Jameis Winston...if he can ever unlock his full potential then the Bucs can be a legit contender...either way I think the Bucs are trending up with the hiring of Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles

I am still pretty pumped over Arians and Bowles and I know Jameis can be a great QB with the right guys, I am not sure Suh is the right guy for us though.

There is talk McCoy might go to the Pats.

Listening with Focal Elex headphones, Topping DSD Dac, SENCUN-audio tube preamp with tone control and Modded Little Dot hybrid tube amp with Voshkod 6ZH1P-EV tubes, Dual Discrete Op-Amp SS3602, and Alps Blue Velvet volume pot.

Would be nice, but the reason he's a free agent is because he wouldn't take a pay cut. The Pats don't have enough cap space for him unless he bends a bit.

I thought Jameis' hyperactivity and super quick release might've softened by now. He's a talent, a leader, but he must calm down.

I put Crab Legs' chance of being a great QB about up there with Fig Newton's.

Hey, maybe you slept through the 2015 season, but CAM Newton had an MVP year and led the Panthers to the Super Bowl. Most reasonable people think those sorts of accomplishments are kinda' "great".

Sorry, he's not a great QB in my book, one good year notwithstanding. But he does have a good head start on Crabs.

Similarly, I would not call Matt Ryan a great QB. Upper echelon for sure, but not in the great category.

My oldest went to FSU with him. The stories are true. Good QB, not real bright as it pertains to those around him. Eat a W? Yeah OK.

McCoy has made his money so a ring should be on his list and go to the Pat's. Some dudes care more about money above all, which would make him a bad fit in NE. Such starting to travel frequently, end is nigh for him

I would like a one year deal as Revis did. Win a ring(Hoping) then cash in with the Jets.lol

Yeah he was really great in the SB. Throwing his body on the loose ball was too much to ask.

Newton is a level 2 bust. Like Flacco. A brief period of good results...and nothing but failure before and after.

Considering his body weight was moving sideways & backward when that ball hit the ground, it would have been too much to ask -- violating the laws of physics is weirdly like that.

Cam has had a chronic shoulder injury the last couple of years that has greatly limited the velocity he can put on the ball. He has had corrective surgery, and appears to finally be on the mend. We'll see this season if he can regain that form. But I am periodically amazed at the criticism that comes his way, generally from people who don't follow the Panthers and dislike him for, shall we say, "other reasons" than football. Hell, guys like you should really appreciate him on one level, at least -- he didn't kneel in protest.

Truth to tell, he'd be in my top five pool of Brady replacements if his team gave up on him. I'd take Tuanigamanuolepola Tagovailoa (AL), Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Jake Fromm (GA) and yeah, Colin Kaepernick (although he's getting long in the tooth).

Wilson is out since he's just signed a stratospheric deal, Kaepernick is probably out and the two draft choices are a long shot (although the Pats DO have sixteen picks in the next draft), so ... Cam?

Sorry dude, the Cat's ain't giving up on Cam any time soon. He's the franchise QB, and they know most of the other teams in the League who don't already have one of those would take him in a second. Given the right supporting cast and assuming his shoulder has healed, there is no reason to think he can't regain his MVP-year form, or close to it.

I see Cam playing out his career in Carolina. He's taken a beating over the years running and being large and not getting calls at times. Curious if he wises up and plays a little more conservatively and protects himself.

Jalen Hurts is another college who will finally get some spotlight action this year after being in the shadows.

R.I.P. Bart Starr. He was 85.

I remember reading a little paperback about him, one of those middle school books you ordered from some company back then, when I but was a wee tyke. I wanted to hang a tire from a tree limb and practice throwing a football through it just like Bart (Dad vetoed that idea). My mother was from Wisconsin so we were sort of Packer fans by default. He was a class guy.
