  • Marshall Newhouse, who has banged around the league, as a replacement for starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn.
  • Joe Thuney, guard and jack of all trades, moved around where needed, played right tackle until
  • Marcus Cannon came back from being injured, took over at right tackle.
  • Thank goodness Shaq Mason. guard has been uninjured.
  • Ted Karras is the current center, was a backup until the starter, David Andrews developed blood clots in his lungs and is out for the season.
  • There's only three backups, two of which were signed after the season began.

No complaints, everyone has injuries, etc. but this may be Dante Scarnecchia's masterpiece - how this collection of misfit toys is performing reasonably.

Wynn comes off IR on week 8, but until then, bubble gum and baling wire.

I'd say take the money and run Mike.

It's not looking so good for him right now.

But it can only get worse if he jumps.

Tua has a better chance ending up in NE.

It's like Tua thinking didn't they just trade Tunsil who would protect me?

Yeah that's where I want to go.

These are just my opinions.

Could turn out that Josh Allen was the gem of 2018 draft.

How's Baker doing?

All those can't miss 2018 QB's

Why would the "real deal QB" want to play for a cellar dweller?

Hold out and get the best team to succeed.

And honestly I've turned the NFL off this year.

Back on for Ethyl though.

Their last five games against each other, including the two Super Bowls have been epic down to the wire games. Most of the games in their history have been close.

Unfortunately, the Giants are very beat up right now missing their top two runners and top two receivers and don't appear to have the defense that can put Brady on his back which is the key to beating the Patriots.
Expecting a Patriots blowout but hoping for a close one.

agreed...the Giants are always a tough opponent for the Pats because of their defense...they always had the ability to rush the QB with their front 4 and don't need to blitz...that's the key to beating Brady/Belichick...easy to do in theory but finding the right players to be able to execute is tough

Well, if the Giants are somehow in the lead after the first half the Pats will be looking to take out the Giants QB (Pats dirty play #989 ) like they did to Josh Allen/Buffalo for the win. Only problem with that strategy is the backup this time ain't no rook/5th stringer, it's the one guy who has occasional beat them over the years!

Well at least they Giants kept it interesting for 3+ quarters. Patriots defense is the real deal but their offence can be stopped. Lets see what happens when November rolls around and their schedule gets a bit tougher. The Patriots got away with two and maybe three pass interference calls that could have made a difference. It seems like challenging the no calls is just a waste unless the guy is tackled.

The Giants like many teams show flashes of brilliance but just can't get it all together. Really this is a transition year for them, but deep down I don't think they will win anything with Shurmur as their head coach. His play calling and adjustments aren't good and neither is his game management.

another cupcake game for the Pats... first 8 games opponents are 9-29. will be nice to see them play a team with a pulse..

even the offense is struggling..but they inevitably break thru after the inept offense they are playing against continues turning the ball over and or going 3 and out... smh... never seen anything like it.

its really hard to tell for sure if the Pats defense is the real deal or not...they have played a hurt Rothlesberger, Fitzmagic, Luke Falk, Allen/Barkley, Case Keenum, and Daniel Jones..not exactly a great class of QB's...heck not even marginally good.

That game was a lot like the Skins/NE game last week. They both kept it close in the first half, each with a big offensive play, and then lost it in the second half. Game stats were almost identical. The key is to put pressure on Brady, which both teams did in the first half. If those two teams can do what they did for a half, forget that undefeated season.

I don't think they're thinking undefeated, having done that and then lost the Super Bowl.

They are thin on offense. They lost another starting WR (Josh Gordon), their backup fullback (the starter is in IR), their best safety (Chung), a starting linebacker and their tight end. Their offensive line is down to one personnel package + 2 subs, and Brady is getting beat up. There's a reason why they decided to go on 4th down twice - their kicker is on IR and the replacement has earned some skepticism.

Having said all that, the Giants defense played well. They were aggressive and were able to get to Brady - 3 sacks and 1 int. They got the ball to the offense. The Pats defense is a problem for anyone, and it's improving since all of the rookies and second year people are playing significant minutes.

I expect some help on the 8th game, since two players will come off the IR - Wynn (left tackle) and Harry (WR) who should help. The kicker and the offensive line will keep being an issue.

It was a good game for a while, the Giants kid is good at QB, but the defense and special teams are just bears to overcome. It should be interesting when the offense comes around.

He's quite good with a excellent grasp of the offense, he has no problems mustering the troops up to the line quickly either after a big play (a SOP Pats trick). He needs to work on ball security and learn the TB12 quick bail on the play drill, no need to force it in there.. live to throw on the next play.
Not making excuses, but to be fair... the Giants were missing their best player (Barkley) and their two best receivers (Engram and Sheppard).

Very disappointing to see the Giants D take their foot off the gas and only rush three against TB12, where BB rushed a minimum of five but usually seven+ against Daniel Jones on every single pass play. Giants D looked winded by the end of the 3rd quarter.
