Not making excuses, but to be fair... the Giants were missing their best player (Barkley) and their two best receivers (Engram and Sheppard).
Yeah he's learning this year, I want him to make all the mistakes and learn. He has really good basics to build on. The next upgrade NYG needs is Head Coach. Third and two and you attempt a long ball and then don't go for it the next play. Two plays... Two yards.

Anybody know who Locomo is? He's missed the last two Thursday night games and all of the past weekend games. If he misses this weekend, in order to 'clean up' the standings, unless other players/members object, then I'm going to remove him.

I've posted before that the Pats' offense does not look in sync.

However, they have time to get things moving and they have a lot of room for error with a defense basically giving up one score a game. One of NYGiants' scores was due to Brady holding on to the ball way too long and getting sacked/fumbling for a TD not the Pats' defense's fault.

I am looking at some very good games this weekend. Including one in England. Hotspur Stadium and all.

  1. Carolina vs Tampa Bay - excellent game and can boost the playoff chances for the winner.
  2. Seattle vs Cleveland - The hottest QB in the league vs maybe the death of the hype... or not?
  3. Houston vs KC - not sure if the scoreboard has a third digit, but this may push that.
  4. Washington vs Miami - the Tua Bowl (for now).
  5. Philadelphia vs Minnesota - Warring playoff defenses, fragile quarterbacks.
  6. New Orleans vs Jacksonville - Can a great defense and mustache defeat the most complete team in the NFC?
  7. San Francisco vs Los Angeles - I can't see Los Angeles winning this one - what am I missing here?
  8. Tennessee vs Denver - Denver is sneaky, but Tennessee looks good.
  9. Pittsburgh vs Los Angeles - I can't shake the feeling that Pittsburgh works its way out of trouble and LAC works its way into trouble.
  10. Detroit vs Green Bay - I think this is a trap game for GB. I'm calling it Detroit 27 - 17.

Not so great games:
  • Cincinnati vs Baltimore - The best young QB in the AFC vs the worst uniforms in football.
  • Dallas vs New York Jets - The Jets (I can't believe I'm saying this) deserve better than the Gase era.
  • Atlanta vs Arizona - At least Arizona is at home. Short drive home, forget bad memories.

I give the Browns credit, they've won double the number of games I said they would at this point in the season. They have a real shot at 3-5, instead of the 2-6 I was leaning towards.

Bill Belichick is one reason Jets shouldn’t give up on Adam Gase

He was 0-4 to start his first season in his second stint as an NFL coach and nothing was going right...The offense had not reached 20 points in any of his first four games...Those who thought he was a bad hire based on his failure in his first job began to point and say, “See. We told you.”

This is an accurate description of Jets coach Adam Gase...It also describes Bill Belichick, whose 2000 Patriots started off 0-4...

The Jets have not had it easy, they are in the middle of a tough seven game stretch.

They've already dealt with the Bills, Browns, Patriots and Eagles. Now come the Cowboys, Patriots and Jaguars.

Tough row to hoe, hopefully Darnold gets them back on for a good stretch (except for two weeks from Sunday, of course).

Gase 23-25 last three years.

Gase was competitive.

Give it time.

Just like a player refusing to play for a team a head coach should take a pass too.

Give me Jets job over Dolphins or Redskins Job.

These are just my opinions.

No worries. Once Gase gets his taco the ship will be righted and all will be well.

first thing you've said that makes sense in awhile...hopefully you'll come to your senses about Brooks Koepka as well soon...hopefully the voices in your head (Ethel, Lucy, Ricky etc) will help you figure that out

You mean Lulu? We fronted Ethyl some sheckel's last night and she won last night.

And there is no Ricky but an Ilene. But she needs to straighten up.

But Bronco fan family member never liked Gase. BUT blames Elway for Broncos issues.

If they would have hired Shanahan instead of Vance Joseph and kept Wade Phillips it would be a whole new ball game.

The only thing Elway did right was bringing Peyton to Mile High.

Zach Brown says ex-Redskins teammate Kirk Cousins 'weakest part' of Vikings attack

"Cousins, I think every defense is going to want that guy to throw the ball," Brown said after Friday's practice. "For me, that's probably the weakest part of their offense is him. Everything else is good. They've got a good running game, probably one of the best in the league. They have real good receivers. You just want them to pass the ball. You want Kirk Cousins to get it in his hands."...

wow, everyone is piling on Cousins now...what happened to the 'You Like That?!' version of Cousins

Gase first four scripted plays from scrimmage:
1) Le'Veon Bell through the 2 hole
2)Le'Veon Bell through the 4 hole
3) Le'Veon Bell through the 3 hole
4) Punt!

Red River Rumble starts with everyone being penalized.

"Every Sooners, Longhorns player starts game with unsportsmanlike penalty after tussle"

Quote:
Any player from the Texas Longhorns or Oklahoma Sooners who draws an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during Saturday's game will be automatically ejected. Big 12 referee Mike Defee made the announcement after the teams had to be separated at midfield following warm-ups at the Cotton Bowl. Defee assessed unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to every player on both teams, even though several weren't involved in the incident.

Best one was Elway was the one who drafted Brock Oswieler.

Elway took too many hits.

Rosen was clearly winded and unable to continue.

How bout the Browns hanging on until the end.

KC lost which is good for Pats, now to see Jets beat Dallas weekend complete.
