Damn - Carla and Gus Fring? I'd be so in. If I only had Cinemax. Which I don't. Because I'm too cheap. *sigh*

Gotta say it started off by checking all the right boxes. Enough there to keep me interested in another episode.

Garrett Adams likes this.

Anyone watching this? I'm digging it so far. Which means it will more than likely get canceled prematurely.

Yes, a very watchable show ....
How would you describe it to someone who hasn't watched?
I guess it's interesting that it's not easy with this show, to simply mention another show to describe it ,it's not as easy as to just say, well, "It's Banshee with a female lead, or "it's Breaking bad with Jewels & gold instead of drugs", ( It's not any of those ..) ..
I guess it has "a bit" of the nudity/frontal/sex of Banshee, A small bit of the "caper" aspect of Sneaky Pete, some of the underworld aspects of Saul, .. ect ...

Wot? I thought I set this up to record. Dang! Love Carla Gugino.
Karen Sisco never should have been cancelled.

Yes, Carla is very easy on the eyes. So much so, who cares about the plot?

This show is so good! I'm finished episode 6. Kinda reminds me of Banshee. Kinda. Gus Fring and his son are crazy!

I’m a couple episodes behind. Went out of town, came back and the DVR is stacked. Trying to wade my way thru all the shows. But yeah, Jett is a good one.

I would have watched this but Comcash just pulled Cinemax from my package (after I thought we had a two year agreement). They claim HBO owners made them do it. Not paying for Cinemax separately.

Almost caught up. The game of hangman between Junior and Josie was tough to watch.

Good season finale. A few surprises I didn't see coming. Has this been picked up for another season?

No it hasn't been renewed yet. Seems to have similar rating for viewers as Strike Back and Warrior which was renewed for a season 2 , about 115-130k per episode.

Sure hope it gets renewed as I really enjoy it. Wonder where they will go next with all the surprises in the final 2 episodes!

Cinemax had a free weekend on DirecTV. I was able to record all 9 episodes so now I can view at my leisure.

Took me a couple weeks to get thru all 9 episodes. Moved a little slow and I could't bring myself to watch more than 1 episode per night. The last couple episodes had some twists and surprises. Who knows were they go next? Not in a rush to find out though. It was pretty good but not compelling for me. No problem waiting for season 2.

Carla Gugino‘s crime drama Jett is officially seeking a new home for Season 2, following the news that Cinemax will no longer produce original series

During the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Wednesday, HBO Max’s chief content officer Kevin Reilly confirmed that Cinemax would not pursue any further original programming...“I think you can expect there won’t be any more Cinemax Originals being produced going forward,” Reilly said. “I think they’re seeing out the shows that are already on there, but we’re not going to produce those, per se.”

Michael Quigley, executive vice president of content acquisitions and strategy for HBO Max, then confirmed that “we’re not planning to bring the Cinemax content” over to WarnerMedia’s forthcoming streaming service...instead, Quigley suggested that Cinemax would remain a hub for movies rather than original series...

That stinks big time. really enjoyed Jett and Warrior and Strike Back. We knew Strike Back is done after this upcoming season but now no word on if or when Warrior will be shown. Always like the different type of shows Cinemax and STARZ showed compared to HBO and Showtime.

Thanks for the update anyway.
