I was just trying to make a play on words, corny joke.

Ya they definitely miss him.

and the last unbeaten team falls...Sixers lost to the Suns (if Embiid wasn't suspended then I think they would have won)...most surprising team so far has to be the Miami Heat (5-1)...the Heat are getting excellent production from their 2 rookies- Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro

Suns have been more surprising than the Heat to me. Heat have always played hard. The Suns have been the armpit of the NBA for the last X years. And now with Ayton suspended, they're winning games. Shocking.

Also, Warriors finally have some emerging players. Paschall, Bowman, Lee and Poole. They've been hanging tough these last few games.

Wow, Kawhi looked great sitting on that bench. I put myself on NBA Load Management and managed to change the channel.

Yeah, me too. Hey, Silver gave them "permission"! If you listen closely, you can hear the steam coming out of various ESPN executives' ears.

The season doesn't start until round 2 of the playoffs as far as I'm concerned. This doesn't help change my perspective.

As a Clippers fan, who gets almost every game televised locally in San Diego, I plan to manage my TV viewing load by skipping games that Kawhi sits out.

At the very least, you'd think they'd bring Kawhi in as a "closer" in a tight game (down by single digits with 2-3 mins. left) against a quality opponent, but apparently not. *sigh*

8 games into the new season and Kawhi has already sat out 2 games (for games they play back-to-back)...so he's missed 25% of their games so far...I can understand if he was an older player or he's coming back from an injury but this is ridiculous...and they've lost both games he's sat out...at least if Paul George was playing maybe they could justify it but this is a real bad look for the league...I'm not sure what Adam Silver and the league can do about it either...have an independent doctor verify every injury?...imagine the fallout if the doctor says he can play...superstar driven league where the stars are running the show

The NBA fined the Clips $50k for "inconsistent" comments on Kawhi's "load management". I suppose they'll give it directly to ESPN to make up for the lost viewership for Wednesday night's nationally televised game.

But it is a problem for the League, for sure. How do they know if the load being managed is actually an injury or not? Even if a star player plays only, like, 12 minutes, how do they maintain that's not a valid "coach's decision"?

Hey, I know the perfect solution! Cut the regular season down to 60 games, no back-to-backs, and make load management illegal. No charge for that advice, Adam!

Nobody is cutting regular season down. Too much revenue keeping arenas open 82 times/year and player salaries would shrink dramatically. Only logical solution is to extend the season thereby killing back to backs. To avoid too much of an extension, I would cut the preseason down or nix it completely and go back 5 game series in the first round.

I think he plays out the season for Portland...sort of a farewell tour...he's actually a nice fit alongside Lillard and McCollum

I don't think he's really looking to get injured

Eve: I thought I was through getting involved with men who were trouble. Falling in love on a look. I can't look at you.

Mickey: You have perfection about you. Your eyes have music. Your heart's the best part of your body. And when you move, every man, woman and child is forced to watch.

James Harden is averaging 39.2 points per game this season...he averaged 36.1 points per game last season, the most by anyone in the NBA since Michael Jordan averaged 37.1 in 1986-87...last season he became the first player in NBA history to average at least 35 points per game with a true shooting percentage (61.6) better than 60%...so far this season, Harden's scoring average and true shooting percentage (61.8) have both improved...

One of the greatest regular season players ever. He will probably take an L in the playoffs again.

Meanwhile, Luka posted the first ever 40p 3x 2x for the mavs, and is the only player other than Lebron to do so under the age of 21.

The first 4k game of the season is Mavs vs Clippers on the 26th on Directv! Looking forward to seeing the NBA in 4k HDR again! From what I remember Directv is the only provider that carries the NBA games in 4k HDR. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

How does the game look? Is the NBA native 4k or upconverted from 1080p?

Warriors lose by what? 48 points to the Mavs. Other that Lebron leaving the Cavs, has there ever be a bigger hero to zero team?
