I thought the 4k and 4k HDR NBA games from the last few seasons looked amazing. I can't say for sure that it was native 4k because I haven't read any articles to confirm...but it def looked like it was native 4k. I watched march madness games from CBS/TBS/TNT last year that were promoted as 4k but were just 1080p upscales and it did not compare to the NBA 4k broadcasts (although it did look a lot better than the regular HD broadcasts). The best 4k basketball games I've seen were from the 2016 summer Olympics. That entire Summer Olympics was the best 4k broadcasts I've seen on Directv (even without HDR at the time) since it was from an 8k source downscaled to 4k. Also technically it wasn't live either because there was a 1 day tape delay for the 4k broadcast so I'm sure that probably helped the picture quality as well.

It wasn't as bad as it looked. Kerr said after the game that they were only a break here & there from 42.

these Clippers are living on the edge but they keep winning...great game against the Rockets tonight...Lou Williams is just as valuable as Kawhi and Paul George...Harden has become unstoppable on offense...

Sources: NBA considering reseeding conference finalists, postseason play-in

Adam Silver’s long-talked-about plan to shake up the league’s blueprint is gaining momentum...the league, its broadcast partners and the player’s association are in serious discussions regarding a reseeding of the four conference finalists, a 30-team in-season tournament, a postseason play-in and cutting down the regular season from its current 82-game slate to a minimum of 78, according to ESPN

These changes could be implemented as soon as by the 2021-22 season — the NBA’s 75th anniversary — provided the league’s Board of Governors votes on the initiatives at its meetings in May...

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...season-play-in

I don't like the idea of a mid-season tournament...reducing the number of games from 82 to 78 also seems silly (it's only 4 games)...but I do like the reseeding plan and post-season play-in games

Looks like there will be 21 NBA games in 4k HDR this year on Directv! https://watch.att.com/directv/4k/#top

I'm starting to appreciate James Harden's game more this season...the guy can really score...inside, outside, free throws, 3-pt etc...and he also gets a lot of assists and rebounds...only thing he's missing is some sort of defense but he's actually fun to watch

He earned my admiration during last playoffs, genuine tough guy who's now routinely making his 35' shots. Speaking of which, hilariously predictable that Miss Dray tanked after talented mates were sidelined, lol.

If anyone has a chance at a crazy 100 pt game it's him.

He's a newer version of Melo. Great regular season scorer, climbing up the scoring charts, breaking records etc.

Playoffs = L.

The team this year looks worse than the last few years. The guy has to score 40 for them to win, and he has shown us time and time again that he runs out of gas in the playoffs. And you can't rely on Westbrick.

I'm watching the Clippers/Mavs game on NBA TV...seems like every Clippers game has been on national TV (ESPN, TNT, NBA TV)...Luca Doncic is really good...how come no one complains about his lack of defense?...seems like Harden and Carmelo get a bad rap

Carmelo gets a bad rap for more than lack of defense.

Carmelo's never been a bad teammate...he gets a bad rap for his isolation heavy offense but is Luca all that different?...mainly in comparison to Harden, Luca seems like a similar all around player

Maybe, but you'd never see that at Staples or the Garden.

Also, the Clippers are pretty dang strong. On the other side, Luca looks really great. Hard to believe he's only 20. He plays like a seasoned vet.

I don't know. It always seemed like Melo was too relaxed about it all, if that makes any sense.

3's an extraordinarily low number. Can't count the number of times in NY he looked off wide open teammates while closely guarded and fired it up.

I was at the game tonight. In general, Mavs just don't fill seats on weeknights. We were ready to cheer 'em on, but it was just one of those nights; couldn't make any shots. Team defense was actually decent.

Another 60 point game from The Beard last night, as the Rockets routed the Hawks. In 3 quarters! That's positively Klay-esque.

Overrated. Time to do something in the playoffs. GL with Westbrick as his running mate.

so the Warriors officially have the worst record in the NBA...crazy...this seems a bit like the San Antonio Spurs when they were a good team having a really bad year and then wound up with the 1st pick in the draft and selected Tim Duncan...the Warriors might do the same and get to select between Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and LaMelo Ball
