Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 10)- HBO HD

The wait between seasons 8 and 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm was just over six years...this time, it’ll be just over two...Season 10 of Larry David’s cantankerous comedy will premiere in January, HBO revealed...David began filming the 10th season in the fall of 2018...details are scant per usual, but series star Jeff Garlin revealed on The Last Laugh podcast that Vince Vaughn would have a multi-episode arc...

I have watched and loved all of Larry's episodes and I think last night's season opener was the most hilarious of the bunch. A episode for the ages.

Still laughing at this! After all these years the show is at least as good as--or maybe even better than--ever...and, OMG--Jeff really does look like Harvey Weinstein!

YES!!! I just called DirecTV/AT&T to cancel my protection plan and mentioned they haven't given me any free channels in a couple of years. I got three free months of Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, and HBO.

Amazes me that they can keep this kind of quality up for so long. It always feels fresh and unforced. All the players obviously enjoy doing it. Maybe that's the key.

Some of that may be the improv format. Larry gives them a general outline of the scene and then they just riff on it. If you're an actor used to being rigidly scripted & directed, that must be a load of fun.

'Curb' very much seems to be a labor of love for all of these guys. Every few years they get to hang out with their buddies and basically have a big party for a few weeks. And get paid very well for it, to boot. Maybe this is what the Rat Pack was like, hanging with Frank in Vegas, doing a show in the evenings, and partying their butts off the rest of the time.

He gets to do it at his leisure, take as long as he needs.

Which is probably the only way he’d do it, since he’s got a ton of money, enjoying his retirement.

Bingo!

Another perk of Larry being filthy rich is that he doesn't give a **** who he might offend and/or if he alienates potential viewers!

Episode 1 was home run funny!

The other thing too is that the other cast members probably prod him to do more seasons.

Also think as he befriends certain stars like Hamm, he's motivated to work them into the show.

I think it's more that these stars actually contact Larry and ask to be on the show...

I was going to wait for a few episodes to build up before starting the new season...but the glowing reviews here have made me want to start watching immediately...

This season's opener was definitely Curb at its wildest. It even dabbled in the borderline surreal with "Louie" type of moments, such as Larry breaking the selfie stick and knocking over the public bikes as if it's normal. Larry at his seemingly most uninhibited is the best and funniest version of him.

I actually thought it was a bit too formulaic other than the MAGA hat. That was inspired.

It was really good. Poking fun at the hat wearers and the intolerance of the onlookers at the same time. Perfectly played.
