Yeah, you'd think they'd want to do a dry run before The Masters. Work the kinks out.

I should have put a "and" in the PGA HD and 4K.

I'm a diletante when it comes to this stuff.

Maybe Dr. Don can fix it.

Looks like the "Great One" teeing it up next week.

The lean "Hefty" one is playing well and he could get that US Open that's alluded him.

Just like when Fuzzy said about Tiger in 1997 Masters. He's driving the ball well and putting the ball well.

Just needs a week that he does that and he'll complete the four majors.

After trying out my new 4K rig on the Super Bowl last week, I was thoroughly underwhelmed. My tired old eyes saw very little difference and the loss of recording, time manipulation and commercial skipping is somethIng I will never put up with to get a tad better picture. If I ever get 4K recording then I will be in.

Who-the-hell is willing to watch golf and the commercials/interviews/etc? Insufferable...

I understand what you're saying about be underwhelmed.

But if you have a AVR sound system with your 4K TV you'll be blown away with Blade Runner 2049 4K 2017 edition.

Blue Planet 2 4K 2017 edition is another one.

Eye popping stuff.

More boring than usual due to haphazard pro-am coverage from three courses Thursday to Saturday. Fewer hackers for Sunday's finale at Pebble, though Phil did make the cut.

A few years back when I wounded you about your golf knowledge and you never recovered.

You told me you've never played the game and I've forgot more about the game then you'll ever know.

I don't get 'wounded' by anything online...same way I don't block anyone...it's just an online forum filled with virtual people...no time to be 'wounded'...you seem to take things too hard online, it seems to 'wound' you that so many people have you blocked which is why you keep bringing it up...you were feeling confident a few days ago when members started quoting you so you thought people had un-blocked you but then reality hit again

who's the favorite to win the Masters?...of course, it's Brooks Koepka...we haven’t seen a repeat winner at the Masters since Tiger completed the feat in 2001 and 2002...

Brooks Koepka 9/1
Rory McIlroy 10/1
Tiger Woods 12/1

I like Rory. His game is just so well suited to Augusta. That big high draw he hits fits the shape of most of the holes so well. But as always with him, it boils down to the flat stick. Those greens are so slick...

RD2 @ Riviera, it's looking like notables Niemann, Thomas, Mickelson will have other things to do this weekend. 60 plus ties stick around. Day, Finau are currently on the +1 bubble.

Always liked that clubhouse. Nice example of "mission-style" architecture. I designed one once, down at "The Pearl" on the NC coast. My first stab at "prairie style", as that's what the terrain seemed to ask for. So that's what I gave it.

Brooks Koepka is a warrior...3 month layoff...hasn't played any golf at all- he says he has/had a partially torn patella tendon...did some stem cell treatment on it...I call Brooks- 'ole reliable' because he's always in contention at every major...hopefully he's healthy this year

Fortunately, a lot of "revivals" and golf courses were completed before the crash of '29 and subsequent depression. Riviera's clubhouse, 1928. Architect name?

Up the coast, La Cumbre CC, Santa Barbara has a lovely smaller clubhouse (George Washington Smith, architect). Pic below. I played that course in 1984. Haven't played Riviera. Both courses, George C. Thomas Jr. designs.

So what else is new? It's been going on for years and I am so sick of it. Like it or not, the Bristol behemoth has an incredibly large influence on modern sports. And what they have been saying for years is that one individual is the only thing that matters about golf. They expand their focus a little for the 4 Majors to -- gasp! include other players! -- but even there the first storyline is always whether Tiger is playing well, what his chances are, etc.

Best thing that could happen to golf is if he just retired and the sports media landscape was forced to move on & focus on the other good, young players.

BTW, congrats to Adam Scott! One of the really good guys on Tour. He's been such a good player for so long it's surprising he's only won 14 PGA tournaments.

ESPN knows who butters there bread.

He's the great one.

I said through the broadcast there's not enough Tiger.

But what I'm really happy about is top "Club" members are commenting here and no blocking or ignore functions needed.
