It's opposite for me. I find a lot of them harder, because I am not hip to much of the new stuff. My 20 y/o daughter killed it though. I do better on the regular Jeopardy, by a long shot.
Yeah, some of the pop culture stuff from their generation trips me up because I have no idea who a lot of the modern TV, movie and music performers are. But there's always a lot of high school science material and I was always in the AP classes for that back when I went to school.
I wonder what my teachers would think if they found out the use I had for that stuff was for watching TV....
I've been missing the most recent episodes because Nexstar is feuding with D* right now. I could plug in my antenna, but I don't care that much to worry about it. There's pretty much nothing else I watch on my ABC station, so.....I really don't care if they ever come back.
The same goes for the stations owned by Sinclair, Clear Channel, Meredith (which is feuding with Dish), etc.....
When local stations became media conglomerates I stopped feeling bad when the MSO's starting pushing back. A station I used to work at a couple decades ago is now owned by Clear Channel and is completely automated from out of town. No one actually works there anymore.
Haven't read anything, but wife and I thought his smile made him a dead ringer for the Joker
he definitely had a weird smile...now he has a weird very rich smile...and he's coming back for the next Tournament of Champions so I'm sure he'll add to his riches...I'm sure the majority of fans want to see Ken Jennings vs Holzhauer vs Brad Rutter for the title of Jeopardy King
7/26 is the final episode (#230) of season 35. 5 shows a week for 46 weeks then they rerun 3 two week tournaments. The reruns will be the 2018 Teen Tournament 7/29, Teachers Tournament 8/12, All Star Games 8/26. That would make the start of season 36 on 9/9. Rumors are taping is supposed to start next week but no ticket information is available on the site.
Correct. The wording for tonight's show made it sound like the last of the season. But, tomorrow's show for sure said that next week's episodes were the last of the season. The poor winner has to wait at about three months before being able to come back.
Interesting that the last two big winners from this season aren't being allowed into the 2019 Tournament of Champions, they are being held out until the next one. https://www.jeopardy.com/contestant-zone/toc-tracker
It appears to me that they did this to make sure Emma Boettcher got in since she beat James Holzhauer. She is the only one who won fewer then 4 games and under $100,000.
