I'm looking for a quality splitter like the one on the right of the first pic.

Anybody know which brands are good (maybe with pics of the inside)?

Currently have the RCA on the right.....

RCA quality ain't what it used to be in some cases.

What about Extreme, BAMF, Monoprice, Channel Master and DirecTV 'Green Label'?

Just want quality inside, not anything that's real cheap.

Open the RCA splitter and see if you need to "upgrade".
IMHO, unless you have a specific problem that you can directly attribute to a splitter, why worry?
OTOH, you can purchase all of the splitters you consider, open them, see what prizes are inside!


I'd suggest you use/purchase what's typically used by cable/satellite providers. But there's no magic splitter solution since the quality the whats and hows of connected (cables, connectors) stuff to the splitter is probably more of a concern.

Highly recommend Antronix. If you see a cable guy out and about, ask him if you slip him $5 if he'll give you a 2 way splitter [he will].

Comcast uses Extreme BDS102H 2-way splitter (-3.5dB balanced, 5-1002MHz) inside the house.
