Need Help Finding This Composite Cable

I have a cable that has three composite RCA connectors at one end (red, white, and yellow) and one yellow RCA connector at the other end. I use it to connect an old VCR (some of you probably know that is - LOL) to my TV, which just has a female input jack for the yellow male RCA connector. I want to replace this cable with a shorter cable, but I don't know what this cable is called. When I search various websites (including monoprice.com) for composite cables, I seem to just find cables with the three red, white, and yellow connectors on both ends.

Anybody know what this cable is called or how to find one? Thanks in advance.

That type of cable makes no sense. Yellow is composite video, Red/White is for analog audio. If the red/white pair is connected at only one end, they serve no purpose whatsoever.
Just get a short yellow cable for video. If you need audio also, get a short red/white RCA (at both ends) cable.

A couple of possibilities but you are probably looking for an adapter cable. The most common type were found on camcorders and went from miniature phone jacks to RCA cables. These could be found on some monitors. (but it would be an earphone type jack, not the larger RCA size. https://www.amazon.com/Conwork-2-Pac...EG3BT2PPGPB3NP

On the other hand, Sony had some sets with what looked like an RCA jack but the plug had a segmented center conductor like the one I linked. I doubt you will find one of these anymore. (and they only had one length)

Rather than guess the possibilities... perhaps the OP could post a picture of the cable and provide the make and model number of the TV and perhaps the VCR.
And length of the old.... length desired for the new.

Sometimes in life, you discover that you are an idiot. I was disconnecting a lot of audio and video equipment yesterday and taking apart a cabinet to make room for a new cabinet and a new TV. In my haste, I did not notice the the RCA composite cable already had an adapter on it. Here is a picture of the adapter, FWIW. So I just need to buy a shorter standard composite cable.

Sorry for the trouble, but I hope I gave you a chuckle at my stupidity.

Monoprice should be expecting an order for a short A/V cable soon.

EDIT: Are you sure the new TV has that type of interface?

Ratman, from the rear view of my new TV that I saw on a website, it appears that it does, and that it has the same type of interface as the plasma that is being replaced. But I have yet to get the TV out of the box, as I am waiting for my son-in-law to help.

LOL... what is the make/model of the new TV?
Perhaps if we could look at the user/setup manual online we could provide a definitive recommendation. Be a shame to spend a few $$ for something you can't use.

If not... have fun and enjoy your new TV (and old VCR )

It's the new LG 65" C8 OLED. I just unpacked it, and wouldn't you know, they have included the exact same adapter.
