FIOS Connection

We're renovating our 2nd floor and while the walls are open I'm dropping 6 coax cables to the basement. The cables fall on the opposite side of the house from where Fios enters... about 50 ft. I plan on using a cable amplifier/splitter, and my question is... Should I used an adapter the extend the Fios input to the side of the house where the coax drops down, or should I extend each new coax approx 50 ft to reach the side of the house that Fios enters... or does it matter?

Thanks

Tom

I'd suggest:
1) 6-way splitter in basement from the 2nd floor drops.

2) 50' coax from splitter to the FiOS entry.
3) Test.

If there is a problem. Then add a amp at the FiOS entry point.

Alternatively, you could always run 50' (+) x 6 coax feeds from the 2nd floor to a 6-way distribution amp at the FiOS entry point.

Or... conduits? And pull strings in the conduits for future upgrades/needs?

And why not run some Cat6 or 7 just in case?

Just sayin'.

Don't forget to put some tithes in the basket that's being passed.
