Found a weird bug with Nuvo line-in & P10 keypads
Just an FYI post.
Customers home was pre-wired and speakers installed in the kitchen & back porch; no other equipment installed.
I sold them a Nuvo P100 for the kitchen & P200 for the back porch, each with a P10 keypad.
Each zone also has a TV, and they wanted audio from the TV to the corresponding zone.
So a line in on any Nuvo device is global to every zone; that means the TV audio connected to the P200 is available as a source on the P100 as well.
I setup the kitchen as Favorite 1 on the keypad, and the back porch as Favorite 2 on the keypad; again its global, so selecting Favorite 2 in the kitchen gives you back porch TV audio.
The problem is, when you select the line-in from the P200 to play on the P100 via the P10 keypad, and vice versa, it turns both units off.
I called Nuvo tech support and was told this is a known issue with the P10 keypads. I’ve never connected more than one analog source, so I’d never encountered this problem.
The only thing I could tell the customer was to not select another zones audio on the keypad.
