Accidentally hit enter too early. Anyway.....

I need to replace six 20 year old Speakercraft VSR 100 speaker-level in-wall volume controls. Is there an option that would allow me to control the speakers (volume up, down, mute) via an iPhone app?

Is this part of an A-Bus system. does the back of the volume control have an ethernet connection in, then 2 speaker wires out?

More info

It is part of a whole house, 8 zone system. The in-wall volume controls have wire connections for speakers in and out in addition to an R45 cable (ethernet connection) which is hard-wired back to the main control panel in the A/V closet.

It's exactly the same as the Elan VSE100 speaker control and system.
