Splitting 4K Source to 4K and 1080p displays

I currently have the following setup: 4K Apple TVsource to j-tech JTD3DSP0108 to 1080p mainroom TV, two 1080p TVs plus one HDMI long cable downstairs another j-tech JTD3DSP0108 HDMI Splitter 1×4 1080P that has another 4 1080p TVs (downstairs workshop).

I would like to upgrade to: 4K Apple TV to new 4K splitter to new 4K Mainroom TV plus keep all the old 1080p devices: two 1080p TVs plus one HDMI long cable to downstairs j-tech JTD3DSP0108 HDMI Splitter 1×4 1080P that has another 4 1080p TVs (downstairs workshop).
The question is, with the first new 4K splitter with 4K source, can it split 4K to one display and 1080p to the others or will the entire system default to the lowest resolution of 1080p in the entire chain? Is there a splitter "smart enough" to split 4K source to 4K and also downscale to the other 1080 sources? HDCP issues of course?

Jtech-18gsp14m

I heard back from Jtech on this and they make a splitter especially for this purpose, splitting 4K and 1080p. JTECH-18GSP14M
