7.4.1 and Stereo Simultaneously.

I would like the ability to listen to the same source in both the main room (7.4.1) and also in another room in stereo. For example: Walking from the theater to the laundry room or kitchen and still being able to hear the movie.

I have a whole house audio system that can input stereo signals (optical or analog). Naturally, this system will not downmix Dolby Atmos to stereo.

The only solution I have come up with is to buy a second mid-level receiver or pre/pro that can take the pre-outs from the main receiver and then downmix to stereo. That second receiver would then be the source for the house audio system.

Are there any high end receivers that will take high resolution HDMI audio and pre-out or optical out to stereo while still playing Dolby Atmos/DTSHD etc. in the main room?

Is there another solution i am not considering? I appreciate any thoughts.

My understanding is that many (if not all) receivers can only output from 2.0 sources on a second zone. is Denon different?

And thanks for the idea!
