Old Analog OTA TV Distribution Amp: OK for Digital?

I have an old ChannelMaster RF distribution amp- one RF input (antenna) and 4 RF outputs (for 4 TVs.) This dates back to the old analog OTA TV signal. Can this amp be used for today's digital signal? If so, will it perform every bit as well as a new distribution amp designed for digital OTA transmission? Help very much appreciated! Frank

Yes. The RF signals have no idea that they are carrying a digitized data stream.

If you are going to combine the modulated analog channels with an antenna (for digital OTA channels) the old rules all still apply. Set the modulator for the highest UHF channels (I previously would use 63, 65, 67 & 69 when doing 4 channel modulation) possible and user a low pass filter on the antenna to block the frequencies that the modulator will be using from coming in on the antenna. Channel plus LPF-750 would be a good choice here.

Thank you both. That explains why the amp appears to work fine. As for the modulated analog, I'm not planning anything at this time but have printed out your comments for my use if I do. Thanks again. Frank
