Good Matrix Switch

Anyone know of a good matrix switch that has some sort of API or web UI exposed? I've been looking for whole house amp systems and thought I may as well just build my own with some amp boards and a matrix switch.

Most all good matrix switches support integration with a control system.

Video Storm has a 16x16 Audio Matrix with a Web UI. I use it with Control4, but you can probably write your own control for it as they have published codes

Thanks, does it work well for you? I see there are some on ebay for $150 which is a good price for me.

Well I use control4. I've had this matrix for a few years. Lately I am having audio issues, and C4 is currently investigating my project. No idea if its the C4 controller/streaming services/bad driver or the CMX switch. But I got my CMX switch used and like I said ~4 years ago, so who knows who hold it is and its held over just fine

I have no idea what it takes to program the hex/IR codes outside of control4. Mine has the ethernet board so c4 talks to it via IP control.

I did a lot of research on all the options. I decided there is no need for me to get a matrix switch as I will be feeding all the zones by streaming services and plex. A matrix switch would still require me to buy a streaming device for each zone, so I am just going to get a few and plug them right into the amp inputs, using a bus for half the zones and line in for the other half.

I've had the best luck with "No Hassle Audio Video" on Amazon lately. 18gbps 4K HDR with no issues
