I did try a 10 foot cable to replace the 30 footer. It made no difference. The picture still cuts out after a few minutes.
I was answering how to check PCB version, nothing else. So to check PCB version you need to run GUI, to run GUI you need driver installed, IF you updated fw on this or previous or any other hdfury device, then you have drivers already installed, if not, then you need to install them.
If you do not remember if you ever update the unit, then just try to run GUI, if it doesn't work, then there is no driver yet installed, or wrong one. go in program files, delete any reference to silabs, silicon laboratories and/or USBXpress reboot, reinstall driver, reboot, connect Vertex and proceed.
