Great, can you just post the config txt file as attachment please ?

Use Automix/SINK mode for DV support on AVR-Key/Integral. Linker does NOT support all DV.
Want to get DD+ and ATMOS sound from TV streaming Apps back to an AVR via HDMI since it fails via ARC or S/PDIF?
Show interest by posting your TV and AVR brand/model. We might select you in the future for some beta test.

Let's be innovative then try to upload it via online file server such as filedropper (should be possible with just the mouse operation) and then copy/paste URL back.
Other option is to use on screen keyboard from windows, see here: https://www.howtogeek.com/240288/how-to-use-the-on-screen-keyboard-on-windows-7-8-and-10/

On 29 DEC 2018, our devs made an update for X1X LLDV on LG TV and I simply forgot to put it live

If you want to add Native support for X1X LLDV and LG TV, please go in HDfury.com > Product > Vertex > Download Tab, just download latest firmware package and just update FPGA (make sure to remove lock icon after update, see first post)

I'm struggling with the Vertex working in my system with Roku and my 1080P projector. It has worked in the past although I can't remember if the setup is the same. The current setup I am trying is Roku>Vertex INP0>Vertex TOP>Denon 4K AVR set to passthru>1080P 1.4 projector. Vertex switches are set to Auto Scaling, HDCP 1.4, EDID 4K60 420 8b SDR Stereo or Automix. Roku is set to output 4K 60HZ.

When I bring up Netflix it will display my stream no matter if the movie says Ultra 4K or HD. But after about 10-15 seconds the picture goes away. It then seems to lock up as I can't get back to the Netflix Home screen. The Vertex info says it's receiving a 4K signal and outputting a 1080P 1.4 signal so the down-scaling seems to be working.

What should I do?

Just post your config export when you are trying and confirm all cable length between each equipment from source to display

May be just read the first post of the thread

Config export > usermanual p 43
Confirm cable length > source brand model > 6ft of copper > AVR brand model > x ft of fiber/copper/active > etc...

With one update (1.37 1.44) you fixed, what Microsoft, Dolby and LG couldn´t manage.

I now have Dolby Vision from my XBoxOneX on my LG 2016 TV

Well done !

Hello HDFury,
I have a problem since I updated vertex to the latest firmware (1.37.1.44 - GUI 1.34).

- my setup connection is : PS4 pro > Onkyo rz1100> first output to Sony TV >second output to Vertex> output from vertex to >Philips monitor. (HDMI cables Amazon basics) .

- I can't get a picture signal from ps4 to the monitor, I have to choose another input first (like apple TV) on onkyo then switch to ps4 input to get the picture! and it takes like 3-5 seconds to show the picture on screen."If the there is no signal them monitor goes into sleep mode and I have to select the HDMI input again to try to get the signal."

- This also happens sometimes with apple TV, I get no signal, then I have to try to select the HDMI input again on my monitor to get it working again.

- I tried connecting the ps4 pro directly to vertex then to the monitor and it worked without any problems so far.
- Please note that this problem was not present in the earlier firmware versions!

I will upload the config file.

hope you can help me with this issue.

Thanks

The config file you sent is empty, that usually means the communication between Vertex and PC was not established or timed out. Vertex will cut communication with GUI after some time in idle to save memory ressources and avoid issue in playback. Just close and restart GUI and export config.

Given that you wrote you had issue after update, make sure the unit is unlocked (usermanual p13) > this is something you must do after any update.

Hi HDFury.. I guess it is a power problem!! I connected vertex to the PSU instead of taking power from PC and now it is working without any signal loss.

I don't know if there is a big difference between the original vertex PSU and taking power from PC usb.

I will test it more and see if the problem solved.

thanks.

Power from PC = For update, for running GUI and doing changes, to export config .... BUT NOT FOR TESTING IN SITU.
Power from Wall Plug = Mandatory to make conclusion

All in first post

Original PSU 5V2A
PC USB port 5v 0.5A (some PC 4 ports hub can offer 5V2A for one USB port if no other USB device are connected to others USB ports at the same time)

Use Automix/SINK mode for DV support on AVR-Key/Integral. Linker does NOT support all DV.

I can confirm it is working 100%. Pc usb power was causing the signal loss issue.

Thanks again.

What should I do?
Attached are two camera images of the readout on the Vertex and the screen. I do not have the ability to config export the data. The image is from a Netflix 4K source from a Roku as stated above. The current settings on the Vertex for these images were Auto Scaling, HDCP 2.2, 4k60 420 8b SDR. The Roku is set to output 4k 60Hz. After about 2 seconds the screen goes blank and the Vertex display shows No Signal in the INO portion of the display. As I now have a 4K projector in the second AVR output I have relocated the Vertex to between the AVR and the LG 1080P projector. The intention is for the Roku to down-rez 4K Roku content to 1080P for the LG projector. The connection from the Vertex to the projector has always stay solid during these various attempts. It is always the connection between the Denon 3200 AVR and the Vertex as the audio continues to play on the receiver.

The cables are 6' Monoprice Certified 18gps 2.2 cables between the Roku and the AVR, and the AVR and the Vertex. I tried a 3 footer with the same result. I have not tried a 10 footer. The cable between the Vertex and the LG projector is a 30' certified 18gps 2.2 cable.

I hope you can straighten this out.

Do you know if you have Vertex PCB1 or 2 ? Do you have GoBlue at least ? You don't have Windows PC ?
30ft certified 18Gbps cable, what is it exactly ? Fiber / Active ? any link please ?

For the moment I suspect power issue due to the cable. to confirm, please move everything closer to LG projector and try with a shorter cable, if that works then this confirm the issue and there is solution (once again, all in first post already).

I will put a 10 ft cable between the vertex output and the LG projector. The 30 footer is supposed to be certified for all the necessary specs. It has worked with the vertex in the past although the Vertex may have been between the roku and the avr.

How do I tell if it's PCB 1 or 2?

I do not have a GoBlue. I do have a Windows PC but had trouble trying to load your program. I have stated when I first installed that this device is very complex unless you are a computer expert or engineer.

If you managed to update firmware already ,then you have driver installed correctly and windows GUI should run without issue as well.

If you never updated firmware, then more likely drivers are not yet installed, so just install drivers (see usermanual section for that) and then reboot, connect Vertex and run Windows GUI.

If you connected Vertex before Windows GUI were installed, then more likely you have to go in program files, delete any reference to silabs, silicon laboratories and/or USBXpress reboot, reinstall driver, reboot, connect Vertex and proceed.

You need windows GUI or GoBlue to check your PCB version, but running a shorter cable can help to determine that as well.

Please send link to that 30ft cable if you can.

Use Automix/SINK mode for DV support on AVR-Key/Integral. Linker does NOT support all DV.
Want to get DD+ and ATMOS sound from TV streaming Apps back to an AVR via HDMI since it fails via ARC or S/PDIF?

Hi, I am having an issue with my Vertex (FW: 1.36.1.43).
The display only shows this pixel mumbo-jumbo: photos app goo gl /tDLZHqgECrr36DVR9
It looks like everything else is working properly (2 sources (ps4 and sky receiver) & 2 destinations (tv and dreamscreen solo) working as usual).
Wondering whether that means that anything is broken with the unit (and if not, how I can fix it).
Hard resetting by taking the power away for some time and bringing it back was not successful.

I'm struggling with this. I received this unit last week as a replacement for a faulty switch on my original unit. Are you saying that I have to go through some kind of software update before this new unit will function properly? I don't remember doing that with my first unit, although I have a hard time remembering any of this stuff pas a few hours ago.

I did try a 10 foot cable to replace the 30 footer. It made no difference. The picture still cuts out after a few minutes.

I was answering how to check PCB version, nothing else. So to check PCB version you need to run GUI, to run GUI you need driver installed, IF you updated fw on this or previous or any other hdfury device, then you have drivers already installed, if not, then you need to install them.

If you do not remember if you ever update the unit, then just try to run GUI, if it doesn't work, then there is no driver yet installed, or wrong one. go in program files, delete any reference to silabs, silicon laboratories and/or USBXpress reboot, reinstall driver, reboot, connect Vertex and proceed.

I followed the instructions on Page 20 of the manual and got this: "The device driver installation wizard did not update any of your software for your hardware devices because it was not better than the software you currently have installed". The display says I am on Vers. 1.36.1.37. Is this the PCB version?

I then brought up GUI 1.33-200. Is that the right one? Then I noticed in the GUI the INP1(Top) said it could downscale and INP0(Bottom) said it could upscale. Does this mean that I should only be using INP1 as I am only trying to downscale? Or can I use either?

Is there anything else I need to do?

Please post a screenshot of the Windows GUI when unit is connected so I can verify you have drivers correctly installed or not. (to take screenshot of active windows > HOLD ALT and press PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard, then you can paste it anywhere)
PCB version is displayed in top tier section.

Inputs DO NOT MATTER for UPSCALE or DOWNSCALE.
TOP OUTPUT can DOWNSCALE
BOTTOM OUTUT can UPSCALE.

You do not need to run 200DPI version of GUI, anyway if it displays nicely then it's ok, otherwise just run normal version and if it does not display nicely, just read instructions on first post to make it display correctly)

GUI displays fine although it takes up a smaller amount of screen. Do I have to have all components hooked up when taking the screen shot or can I take the shot with the Vertex in my office?
