Maestro won the CEpro (Cedia Expo) 2019 Best Product AWARD !

Official Link: https://www.hdfury.com/maestro-won-c...product-award/

https://youtu.be/OXqpMkBNabE

September 15, 2019 – Taipei, TAIWAN – When you claim that you climbed from the bottom to the top, it is appreciable to have some highest reach reference.
Participating for the time ever in an industry award and winning it straight away is what Maestro just did in Cedia Expo Best Product Award.

We are extremelly proud to have our name next to LG who won Best TV Award or Denon who won Best AVR Award.
All entries were judged on innovation, functionality, competitive advantages and benefits to the installer by a dozen credible industry leaders, along with the editors of CE Pro. Winners’ products and technologies will be featured in the November issue of CE Pro magazine.
Maestro achievement started back in 2017 when we released our first Award winning device: Vertex that scored 9/10 on AVforums review. Vertex technology reloaded with all the latest know-how from our Devs team is a great part of the running engine behind Maestro. Diva and Vertex2, the two others devices that, with Maestro, form our new generation of hardware are direct derivate from it.

While all credits go to our Devs team who take AV hardware design at heart with a lovely passion, there is a few other people behind this success, to name a few:
  • @Manni, an AVSforum power user who helped in beta testing, he is also the brain behind the initial JVC Macro feature on Vertex, now expanded to any RS232 controllable display on the new generation hardware (Maestro, Diva and Vertex2)
  • @Claw, another AVSforum power user, who is probably the best bug reporter ever he often provided bug report while isolating the root cause at the same time, awesome guy to work with.
  • LG, Dolby, Netflix and others big companies individuals, their names will remain confidential, but thank to some industry insiders like them and their documented request and support over the years, we have achieved world first like HDR metadata injection back in 2015 and more world first additions are coming to our new generation hardware while providing testing tools to such industry giants.
  • PureLink.de, they financially helped to make Maestro a reality by trusting our words and work and since as promised, we delivered the world best HDBT point to point solution out there, we are sure that they do not regret it
  • Our supporters and those we forgot to list, forum members, discord server members, customers and others… they are part of those who always believed in our work and understand that nowadays you need to step up your knowledge in AV before having a chance to run an optimal setup
To all these guys we want to say that this Maestro Award is also yours !
Thank you guys !

Audio Out

Is it possible to have the HDMI Audio Out on the TX unit extract audio from the input going to the HDBaseT TX1 output instead of the input going to the TX0 output? My current setup:

TX Unit:

TX0 - > Family Room AV Receiver -> 4K OLED TV
TX1 - > HDBaseT to RX Unit
AUDIO OUT -> Theater AV Receiver

RX Unit:

TX0 - Theater JVC 4K Projector
TX1 - Bedroom AV Receiver -> 1080p TV

For the theater to have the correct audio both ports need to be set to the same input, which prevents the family room from viewing another source at the same time. Yes, I can have the output of the theater AV receiver be the only input to the Maestro TX unit and let the receiver do the input switching, but I would prefer to switch inputs using the Maestro.

Yes, AUDIO OUT on TX unit is binded to TX unit TX0, to retrieve sound from RX unit back to TX unit, you need to either use ARC from RX unit TX0 or retrieve sound via optical input on RX unit back to TX unit Audio Out.

Thanks, that's what I figured but I wanted to check. I did notice what I think is a bug in the web display for VIDEO TX0 on the INFO page. It seems to be incorrectly display the same info as VIDEO TX1. The display on the TX unit is correct. This is with the 0.43 firmware.

Did you REFRESH the page before taking the screenshot ?

Yes, with the refresh button at the bottom of the page, the browser refresh, and then I completely closed and re-opened it. I have automix at max audio/video and scaling set to no scaling. Input 1 output on TX0 was a PC connected directly to the Maestro, and Input 0 on TX1 was a DirectTV Genie (Genie->4x4 1080p matrix switch->HD Fury Vertex EDID80->Yamaha RX-3020->Maestro Input 0).

It's really not that big of a deal since the correct video signal is being sent and the TX unit's display is correct. I was updating my control app and had that page up to test things otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed it.

Ok 0.43 is a bit old, please update to 0.49, make HARD RESET (RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULT) after update before you import config back.
And then please let us know if you ever see that again. I think its a reporting issue that might be fixed on newer fw already.

I'm on 0.49 now, and after a hard reset and config re-import I'm still seeing the issue. Here's the output from all of the various get status commands which match what I'm seeing on the page:

RX0: 4K23.974 444 BT2020 12b HDR 445MHz 2.2
RX1: 1080I60 444 BT709 8b 74MHz
TX0: 1080I60 444 BT709 8b 74MHz
TX1: 1080I60 444 BT709 8b 74MHz
TX0SINK: SONY TV *00: 4K60 444 DV BT2020
TX1SINK: MAESTRO RX CONNECTED
AUD0: HBR bitstream
AUD1: L-PCM 48kHz 2.0ch 24bit
AUDOUT: HBR bitstream
SPD0:
SPD1: Broadcom STB Refsw Desig

My config export also shows the same issue, but the attached pic from the Maestro OLED display is correct and it is actually sending the correct signal which is the important thing. Maybe something with how it is pulling the info when in matrix mode?

Yes, it's more likely a reporting issue, prolly something to do with 1080i which is becoming rare nowadays, will fix it on next update.

I did try to see if I could change it myself (some forums allow this for original poster) but they don't appear to here at AVS. I'll report original post and see if it can get adjusted.

You can change it yourself within a certain time limit after it's first created. After that, we have to do it but it's something we really don't mind doing.

Sure beats purging spam posts any day.

Talking Extract Full Audio from VRR signal

[BREAKTHROUGH]

We managed to extract full audio from a VRR signal and forward it to any AVR input > World First !

This cannot be implemented on any current unit, but some special VRR edition of current hardware might be possible.

Dear HDFury Support,

I purchased again the Maestro RX/TX set. I updated to the lates version and I've done a hard reset.

My Setup:
I only want to send video to my projector, no sound!

FireTV4k -> NAD M17 V2 -> RX -> 10m CAT7 -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 0,5m -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 10m -> RX -> Sony VW760

Problem:

With (4K59.93 445MHz CR 420 BT709 12b 2.2) every few seconds my screen flickers, I attached a short video and the configs. With 600Mhz content from my HTCP, it does not give a picture at all

Question:
I've tested the RX/TX a few months back with no issue (FW 43 on TX). Even a PS4Pro with HDR60p (600Mhz) was working fine, without flickering. I wonder why now it does not work!?

Can somebody please verify my config is right?

Thanks
Cheers
S.

Both configs you sent are for Maestro TX central, there is no RX unit config.
If it flickers at 445MHz and blackscreen at 600MHz, it's cable issue, it's easy to determine, just set TX unit to FIXED EDID mode, which is max 300MHz, if that works ,then it's cable issue.

Make sure to use Kabledirekt, bluejeans cables or our cables, min 6ft, max 12ft for copper.

You can easily break a working copper HDMI cable by simply twisting it near connector ends.

I will send you some special firmware via PM, it might help slightly (but won't fix your issue, if it's cable issue)

Maestro: 4I/4O +4K HDR over HDBT +Autoswitch any sources +HDMI/ARC/eARC sound to AVR input +webserver. [Won Best Product Award]
Diva: 4I/3O +Ambient Light +Lag Tester +4K HDR > 1080p SDR +HDMI/ARC/eARC sound to AVR input +autoswitch +webserver.
Vertex2: 4I/3O +Autoswitch any sources +HDMI/ARC/eARC sound to AVR input +webserver.

If you mean the special FW sent by PM, then it's non public version, cannot comment on it publicly sorry.

However, you can request such FW in case of any issue, via email, PM or thru our discord support server (discord way preferred)

My Setup:
I only want to send video to my projector, no sound!

FireTV4k -> NAD M17 V2 -> RX -> 10m CAT7 -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 0,5m -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 10m -> RX -> Sony VW760

Thanks

your special FW has fixed the TX/RX issue, but I still have problems, when I connect my sources behind my NAD M17 V2. I see blackouts and re-sync when the sources are using my NAD receiver, directly everything works fine. Can you have a look, if I could mitigate this somehow?

Here my configs:

FireTV4k -> NAD M17 V2 -> TX -> 10m CAT7 -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 0,5m -> Patchpanel -> CAT7 10m -> RX -> Sony VW760

Thanks
Cheers

No, if you have NAD before our devices, then issue is with NAD, not with our devices, we cannot solve problems if we are not in the chain before the problem.
I would put NAD at TX audio out. and if you cannot, then adding Vertex1 or Integral2 before FIRETV4K and NAD will fix your problem, it's HDCP problem you are having here.

Ok, I connected the NAD via Audio Out and eve thing works, apart from DD+. Sometimes it works, then suddenly the Audio stops, when I start a movie. The only option to fix it, is to reboot the TX device.

I ruled out everything else, because if I connect the source to NAD directly, I have no sound issues with DD+. My config is the same, as shared above.

Here the screenshot, when it happens:

Please send config export of both TX and RX because if NAD was at inputs and is now at output, it cannot be the same config as you posted before.
Also confirm what is the source and content you are using to test DD+ and if you tried another source or another app

When you have this issue and if NAD have optical, please see if are you still getting DD+ from Optical (assuming NAD have optical in and support DD+ thru it)

I have exported the config. I use an HTPC and FireTV 4k Stick for streaming. Both has the same issue with DD+ content, but not when they are connected directly on the NAD.

what device was connected at input when you exported those configs ? it looks like some STB
Try to export config when Fire TV or HTPC is at input and then export when it works and then once again when it fails.

Also read my updated post and try to run the test I outlined in it.
