Monoprice M565/M565C Planar Headphones Review

No strangers to offering high performance for low prices, Monoprice is back with another budget offering for headphone enthusiasts with the M565/M565C. I don't know how I missed this but I really appreciate that! You really brought a smile to my face this morning. This was actually my very first review. This is extremely motivating. Thank you!

advice needed for m565

just today got mine an hooked um up to my jds atom an started to test them out to find my desired listing level an one of the drivers went out ,before that i was really enjoying them

my question is is that just somthing that happens time to time or did i run them wrong ,i didnt turn them up past half

with the atom in low gain mode at first but then i tried the high gain which i started with the volume at 1/4 which with

the high gain sounded as loud as half volume with low gain but about 2min into a track my left side went out, is that

because had to much gain an volume or was that just these cans........eather way iv already requested an rma to get a

replacement set because before the kicked it i really liked them ?

my m565 - review update ...that i could'nt post on monoprice

as of now iv had my m565 for two 1/2 months an i can say im definitely pleased , after my initial buy that failed then was rma'ed my
replacement set has been great ,iv upgraded the cable to a shorter an more durable one from periapt which is very nice an some zmf

universal pads that are oval an bigger an far more comfortable then the original ones (they were ok just not for me)

which did actually help smooth out the treble an bring focus to the bass so much so to the point that i no longer use my eq for

anything except

youtube videos just because of the variable quality of the content thats saying a lot about pads oh the pad dims

Outer Dimensions: 4.25" Diamater (108mm)

Ear cavity: 2.79 x 2.2 in (71 x 56 mm)

Thick angled side: 1" (25mm) Thin Angled Side: .79" (20mm)

my music of chose to listen to on these is solar fields, koan, massive attack, lindsey stirling, tool bassnecter ,

the unquiet void - breathing liquid breath ,an eccentricity by magenta

the bass good compared to the adh 500x an the treble is much smoother to

my current equipment stack is

the
source - jds ol dac

eq - subjective 3 (almost never use now thanks to the pad upgrades)

amp - the jds atom (rarely turned past 12:00 on the dail)

i would definitely recommend this cans to anyone lookin for some really good entry level Over Ear Open Back Planar Magnetic

Headphones

plus the ear pad upgrades the cable to but that up to you , but definitely the pads unless you have small ears

im currently planing to upgrade my dac+amp combo to the SMSL SU-8 Version 2 DAC & SMSL SP200 THX AAA 888 Headphone Amp

which between the jds an the SMSL stuff is probably lightspeed an warp drive

but the jds is a good starting point
