Does DAC Amp need to be switched off?

Just got a Topping DX7s, and I left it overnight plugged into my laptop. Noticed today that the unit is slightly warm. Is this an issue? Do I need to make a point of turning off the unit after each use?

standard operating procedure for electronics is thermal equilibrium. the best way to use equipment is to turn it on and leave it on, and prevent any surges or line noise from entering it. Of course leaving electronics on wears capacitors and other components with finite lifespan, so good practice is to turn off over night. Also some parts like temperature controlled osscilators perform their best at spec temp which can sometimes take a few hours to reach. Personally Ive never found units with tcxos to sound bad at startup.

as far as heat goes, its an amplifier itll get warm, as long as its not scalding its fine.
