Androids that connect well for LDAC

Hello AVS,

I currently own a pair Sony W1000xm3 headphones. My issue is that my phone does not support LDAC or even aptxHD codecs.

Now, I have found an article stating that some phones (such as the LG v30+) have a starting connection of 990kbps while others will opt to start at 330 and 660.

I don't know what the difference is to be honest but the article made it seem like there was a noticeable difference.

If anyone has any knowledge or any phone recommendations I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you

One needs Oreo (Android 8) for LDAC support
One can set the bitrate used by LDAC manually

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, not all phones with Android 8, will actually allow the change in developer settings. Mine won't go above aptx and/or 330 kbps

Samsung Galaxy's support LDAC (at least S8 and up). I have the Galaxy S8 Active and the WH-1000xm3's. I'm able to go into developer settings and set the bitrate for LDAC up to 990 kbps.
