Which of these headphones would you buy?

Attention headphone aficionados. I have a gift card to Neiman Marcus and I'm thinking about getting some headphones. Not having used headphones since the heyday of the first Sony Walkman (dating myself), I'm not really familiar with how they sound or how comfortable they are to wear. These are my choices:

1. Master & Dynamic MW50 On-Plus-Over Ear Wireless Headphones
2. Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless Noise-Canceling Over-Ear Headphones
3. Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H4 Wireless Headphones

These are the three brands they carry and the models closest in price to the value of my gift card. The card expires early June so I have about 3 months to use it.

If there is a model they carry that significantly outperforms any of these, I would not be opposed to spending more money to get the added benefit. Also, I have not listed any of the in-ear models as I cannot stand to have anything stuck in my ears.

Thanks for your help!

If you don't have any overwhelming use for noise cancelation, I'd mark those off my list. You don't state what you end use is. Walking, living room use, or travel.

Supercharged Song Towers, Oppo BDP-203, Anthem MRX-520, LG B6 OLED
Headphone Rig: Oppo BDP-95, Burson Audio Soloist MKII Headphone amp/ Sennheiser HD800S, Sennheiser HD650

Are you saying that none of those brands are any good? If I mark those off my list then I basically no longer have a list. My choices are limited to what Neiman Marcus carries because of the gift card. I don't have any specific use case in mind. I could very well end up using them for all three of the situations you describe. Then again, they may sit on a shelf in my home and never get used. If not for the gift card, I probably wouldn't even be considering buying headphones. But headphones are the only product Neiman Marcus carries that I'm even remotely interested in.

I would have to try on all 3 and pick the ones most comfortable. I have blindly ordered some headphones which I never use cause of how uncomfortable they are.

I didn't say mark them all off my list, just the one that was noise canceling if you have no need for that.

I misunderstood. I was under the impression they were all noise cancelling.

I didn't look up the B&O ones. i don't know if it is or not. I didn't see anything on the MW50+ site about it being noise cancelling.

I ended up getting the Sennheiser Momentum 3 wireless headphones. With the gift card I had and the 20% off sale they were running (ended last night), I got them for less than $50.
beerhunt and head_unit like this.
