Hi guys, just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions here. I have just today started experiencing interference with my headphone/amp/dac. It's pretty much a repetitive ringing/humming kind of noise in the left ear.

I have just spent hours trying to fix this including trying different headphones, 3 seperate amps & 2 different DACs connected to each other with RCA & then into my TV via optical. The problem mainly seems to be on my Xbox One when the volume is turned up high but seems to disappear or at least lessen significantly when I switch over to PS4. I also tried 2 different Xbox consoles & it happened on both of them.

I have been using this same setup for ages with no problems but all of a sudden this interference appeared & I'm at a loss on how to get rid of it. Thanks in advance for any help. ✌️

Yeah I tried that. I can only set it to uncompressed stereo as I don't have a surround system hooked up.

Have not changed any settings or devices & the interference pretty much started for no reason. Not sure if using a ground loop isolator or possibly a fully balanced DAC would make a difference.

It's not just a normal hum either, more like a 'ping' sound that repeats over & over in the left ear only. Very strange.

make sure rca's plugged in all the way...idk, if not settings or cables...maybe something is broken.

The noise only appears when I plug in the white (left) side of the RCA cable to the amp. The right side sounds totally fine. I have also tried 2 different RCA cables to make sure that wasn't the problem.

I have done my best to eliminate different variables including plugging in other amps & DACs but all of them are exhibiting this issue which is what has me stumped.
