Which over the ear headphones??

Hi, im looking to change my headphones. Now i have a creative aurvana live 2. My budget its up to 200u$s. I want over the ear and closed ones.

Which do you recommend? Its a good upgrade going for the audiotechnica 40x? Or the beyerdynamic 770 (80 ohms)

I will use it with my phone lg g7 and tidal (mqa)

I've had the ATH-M50X for a few years and really like them. Still under $200.

Some people told me that has a heavy bass and they recommend me the 40x

They're generally praised for having a very neutral sound. Lots of musicians use them for recording. I was able to demo a pair at a local Guitar Center, so...if you have a music store locally you could see if they're in stock and give them a try.

For what it's worth, I don't listen to much hip hop or bass heavy stuff. Mostly classic rock, R&B and singer/song writer. If you're more hip hop than maybe my opinion isn't a good one. No worries though, you do you.

Under $200USD you can't go wrong with the Phillips Audio Fidelio X2HR or the Drop Sennheiser 58X Jubilee.

I second (or third?) this recommendation. I own the 58X and I consider it my most versatile headphones (out of my eight pairs, most of which are more expensive). I have some that are better at specific tasks but if I were forced to pick only one of my headphones and get rid of the rest, I'd keep the 58X.
