My Netflix account has been stolen. IP addresses from Brazil, Chile, Russia, some islands I can’t recall that needed Netflix support to resolve. That is stealing

I’ve had that too. Noticed stuff on my watched list that I hadn’t watched.

That is BS. According to the terms of service, "The Netflix service and any content viewed through our service are for your personal and non-commercial use only and may not be shared with individuals beyond your household." You can go to friends' house and login to watch but you cannot let other households watch your account if you aren't there.

A thief is a thief. "everyone does it" is not an excuse. Paying for Netflix's multiple devices/streams is still only for the payer's personal use. Honest people are paying higher fees because the freeloaders (thieves) are stealing the service.

Listen to the season of Business Wars podcast “Netflix versus Blockbuster”. You will understand their business model in addition to the recent disclosures that they’re paying $6 billion into original content versusApple’s $1 billion that they’re starting out with. You’ll understand where the price increases are coming from. And none of it has to do with sharing of accounts or direct theft.

Totally agree. Trying to justify theft with semantics and/or that they make too much money is weak sauce at its finest.

Can we please stop derailing this thread? We should be discussing the ATV and not Netflix stealing / sharing... Thank you.

Yes, I've been using the Elite with the ATV4K device since it came out and it works just fine. The only thing I've found that the Harmony will not do is the "Tap" functionality that you get with the remote that comes with the device.

I use one on 3 different setups and it works great.

Originally I was using IR control but that wouldn't put the Apple TVs to sleep so I switched over to Bluetooth control and it has been flawless.

Even the basic Harmonys work just fine with the ATV. I'm using a 650. You can build your own 10 sec skip fwd/back sequence with pause>FF/REW>play.

I've tried this a couple of times and haven't been able to get it to work reliably. When I try it while watching content on the ATV4K device, it usually ignores it for me when trying to use it.

Agreed, I have the Harmony Elite w/Hub and with the “beta” profile I haven’t had to use my ATV4K remote at all for day to day use. One of the best investments I’ve made.

I use the 650 and there isn’t a command to put it to sleep that I could find. However, there is a bunch of smart people here and maybe there is a workaround.

I ended up just setting the Apple TV to sleep after 15 minutes.

If you can add custom profiles via the Harmony app, there is a AppleTV Beta profile where the “power” button will put the AppleTV to sleep (at least to works with the Elite that way).

I would save your money and get the 32GB. Apple does not allow the storage to be used that way.

What are you trying to accomplish by connecting the two devices? The Bluesound is a music streamer and the ATV is a video device. You could probably share your iTunes music library residing on a separate computer with both devices but that would not be “connecting” them.

Strange....works well for me. By any chance have you changed any of the Harmony options like timing or delays that might cause issues? I think mine is at default.

Same, although it appears my ATV4k goes to sleep almost immediately when I switch inputs on my AVR. What is the concern about putting it to sleep -- is it about power consumption? The ATV4k uses a maximum of 3W when playing content according to my Kill-a-watt, and not measurable when in sleep mode.

Mine only goes to sleep about half the time, no matter the setting. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into my theater room and the ATV light is the only thing on.

It probably didn't work for me because I heard the sequence was:

DirectionLeft
DirectionLeft
Select

but you're saying it's:

"pause>REW>play" for skip back and "pause>FF>play" for skip forward?
