FWIW,
I have a Denon X4500H and Node2i.
They're connected all three ways, analog and both digital.
Honestly I can't tell the difference.
I use the analog to take advantage of the Node2i DAC and don't worry if I'm missing something.

I did the same as EmilG. I performed a side-by-side comparison and there wasn't a significant difference, if any between going digital or analog from my Node 2i.

If you’re not using Pure Direct then you’re using a dual conversion ADC-> DAC ?

Ya know, that's a very good point!

I'm not going direct so there is some digital processing going on in the front end which requires an Analog to Digital conversion, then a conversion back for the amplifier stage.
Going from the Node2i to the receiver digitally eliminates the Dac -> Adc -> Dac conversion! Great catch!
Now it will be Digital all the way to the Dac before the amplifier stage preserving the integrity of the signal digitally.

I'll be using the digital coax connection.

Thanks again!

Yup, and if then pushed through a Denon or Marantz in their "Pure Direct" modes there's no further A-D conversion, only the analog amplification.

This is how one can test the same title in MQA and non-MQA most directly.

I have to navigate around the app for a while then come back to that playlist and *maybe* it’s updated. Force-quiting the app and then relaunching it doesn’t always speed things up either. Is there some CMD+R refresh equivalent?

Cheers

Why don't you want to use Soundiiz? Are you looking for an alternate. You may use MusConv Tool

Good if you want a two channel experience and have full range speakers.

The Revels really sing.
