I had a ROKU device 10 years ago (the N1000 I think) -- now looking at them again but they don't have an ethernet connection ! ? (I guess EVERYBODY has a wireless network?) !

Anyway -- what are some recent models that do have ethernet that i can find used on Ebay? I'm sure the N1000 is very dated by now.

I did see one that is "XS" but 75 bucks ?

Most Rokus I've seen have a wired ethernet connection. My Roku 3 has one as does the Roku 2 XS and XD models. As for the price, the newest one, the 3 can be had for just under $100 anywhere but can be found cheaper if you shop around. Compared to similar devices they are competitively priced. It all boils down to what you want and can afford. If you end up using the device frequently then it's a good value factored over time.

Roku's current model line the 1, 2, don't have ethernet, only the higher priced Roku 3 does. The older Roku 2 XS has ethernet, and I've seen them on ebay frequently. Try there, and Amazon too.

thanks -- looks like the XD may be the best bang for buck on Ebay, around 50 bucks. don't want to pay the money for the new 3.

hate to miss out on any capabilities with newer technology though (if there are any).

{Obi Wan} That is not the Roku you're looking for... Jedi hand waves...

Yea, the XD doesn't have ethernet. It's the Roku 2 XS that you want.
