CCA has been my primary music-casting-means for over 3 years now, and in terms of reliability, I think google has really taken this device a long way in that timeframe; we lived with occassional jankiness and unreliability in the first year or two, but these things are pretty rock-solid reliable for me anymore.
I preface with that in order to share this: I recently experienced intermittent audible dropouts on only one of my four CCAs.
- The only CCA that was experiencing the dropout was the one closest to my router (~5 feet; no walls). The other three (including one two floors above) weren't having any problems.
- The problem ONLY occurred with 24/96 hi rez files, which constitutes a *very* small percentage of my library/listening habits. I was having no problems with any of my 16/44.1 lossless rips, or my streaming subscriptions to GPM and Tidal.
I unplugged it briefly, counted to 20, plugged it back in.... and the problem seems to have corrected itself. "FYI," to fellow CCA owners out there.
