I didn't see any problems in v2.1.28 either and with several issues reported on the Zidoo forum for v2.1.30, I was apprehensive...

I take it you have an older unit. Apparently with newer ones you will brick it if you try to downgrade the firmware.

Yes, it's a pre 2.1.1 unit so I flashed the full ROM back to v1.4.12 and then OTA straight to v2.1.28

I believe you can flash all units, including the later units with a ROM of v2.1.1 and then OTA up to v2.1.28 but I haven't tried this so can't confirm.
