About 12-15 years ago that was a good channel. But now it's loaded with rehashed crap. They "updated" the classic cartoons. All their updates are horrible, but at least the color is nice and bright.
Funny timing for me, I had been wracking my brain trying to remember a cartoon dog from the 1960's, all I could remember was he had a funny laugh, I finally found him on YouTube, Muttley. That laugh *still* kills me lol.

And then 5G rolls out. I can see AT&T offering DTVN and wireless internet as a package over a 5G network to really shaft the cable companies. I have Spectrum and no alternative for internet streaming right now.

Anyone using Chrome? I can't get it to work today, just get to the "Hang in there" screen while it tries to load. And last night there were some channels that refused to tune while others were fine.

They are already doing zero-rating with DirecTV and AT&T where streaming from their services do not count towards your data. I would not be surprised if they rolled out bundles.

My company pays for my phone which is AT&T and even though I have DirecTV Now and the two accounts aren't even linked, it still doesn't count towards my data. (Granted our corporate account is the "unlimited" up until 22GB then you're throttled.)

For about a week I've been unable to watch CNN and A&E when using Chrome. Those are the 2 channels I watch the most on Chrome, so it's been really annoying. After about a minute of trying I get the "Looks like you're having network problems" message. But if I try a different channel it tunes in right away. Anyone know what could cause this?

It looks like since Directv Now went to new packages with no RSN's. I'm locked out of NBCSPORTS Bay Area " MY TEAMS" app no A's or Giants games. I still have "GO BIG" package. Anyone else see this problem. I don't see any fix seeing some subscribers have new packages no RSN'S & the old grandfathered packages with RSN's.

Does DTVN offer the RSN for your area? They would need to have it for it to be available. Also, authentication to apps can be sporadic and even if you do have channel, you don’t always get access to dedicated app.

In my area I receive NBCSPORTS BAY AREA & CALIFORNIA. The place "MY TEAMS" comes into play is when Giants & Warriors are playing same time & Directv Now only has one channel & no Plus channel. So depends on which team is on the main channel and I use " MY TEAMS" for the other team.

Im not sure what you mean by “locked out” either. Are the games not being shown due to blackout rules? Is the NBCSoorts app giving you an error? Has this worked in the past?

They are blocked on the app. They did work before but I don't see how they are going to work. Directv Now has no RSN's in their packages just the GRANDFATHERED how is NBCSPORTS going to tell the difference?

I watch the Giants and the Sharks on those sports channels. I am in the middle of a 30 day trial. I'll see if I get the Giants tonight.

They have 4 plans with RSN.

https://cdn.directv.com/content/dam/...count-dbs.html

They're a bad deal compared to those of us that are grandfathered in but they are still available in multiple packages.

I’m in the grandfathered plan just under Go Big (can’t remember its name - maybe Live a Little?).

Anyway, I have access to my regional team (KC Royals) on FSMW/FSKC. Of course, the games can NEVER be watched via Directv Now’s app, so I have to stream from Fox Sports Go, in fact I’m watching a game now!

Interesting, you can still watch Fox Sports Go. My NBCSPORTS " My Teams" app.have shut off mine because Directv Now new plans don't have RSN's. I still have "Go Big" plan grandfathered. like I said the only reason I wanted "My Teams" app. is NBCSPORTS Bay Area & Calif. each have 2 channels main & plus. Bay Area /Giants & Warriors, Calif./ A's & Sharks. Directv Now just carries the main channel so when one or the was on main channel at the same time I could go to "my Teams" app.and watch the other team. So I guess that's over.

I watched the re-run of the A's Redsox game this afternoon on one of the CSNBA stations. The game would not be available to me if I didn't live in the area. So, for me, on the 30 day trial, I was receiving the local sports channels. I doubt if that would change if I continued on to a subscription.

So I am wrong the new Directv Now packages $40 & $50 you do get your local RSN's?

I don't know that you are wrong. I am perhaps guilty of not reading the detail of the comments concerning this issue. I am sure that the trial is more than a basic set of channels. I think that is how the trials usually work. It is probably one of the new packages that were just announced and that everyone is upset about.

There should be a place where you enter your zip and it tells you the local channels that are available and what RSN’s are available.

Edit... here’s the website.

Tried it. Got all the networks and the sports channels. Guess now the basic question is which package offers what.

All packages should offer the locals, but only the ones that offer RSN will provide the sport channels displayed from that link.

This was posted recently, but if if you want to see it on the site, click the DTVN in left corner than scroll down to where they show packages, click “see all channels”.

Class action suit filed against AT&T for misrepresenting data about number of subscribers to DTN, number of subscriber losses.

In particular there was high churn as people canceled after the promotional pricing ended.

Searched the thread without success, so here's a question. If you subscribe to DirecTVnow in one state where you live, but spend a ton of tine in another state for work (with a TV and rook there too), can you still watch your "back at home" local channels via DTVN / Roku while out of state?

I don't think so. From what I understand they go by your IP and if it's in Minnesota but you signed but your home base is Florida you won't get those locals. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone who knows?

Look into using a VPN.

1) Vizio PQ65-F1 and 2) Visio D32F-F1

However, the only local content you'd really miss is your local news which you can usually stream online from the station's website. And only a small part of the local news is even relevant. Much of it is national news, and you won't care about the weather since you're not there, or you can get the weather from many other sources if you really need to know.

Thanks. I use VPN Unlimited and it works for streaming foreign TV, which is all I used it for. But I also tried VPN-ing directly to my home router for DTVN, and that didn't work either. I don't care about locals. But when I'm in foreign countries, I can't get any US TV at all except through my slingbox.

I'm kind of glad it works the way it does where you get the locals at your physical location. That way my parents and I can share the same account even though we're in different states. Save us both a lot of money.

Good stuff, thanks guys. Been with Dish forever but think it’s time for a change. $160 a month for a very ordinary package just seems absurd. I can plug DTVN in and cut that in half without losing anything that matters.
