I had an issue with my old amazon fire tv when trying to use the criterion channel app. I believe it was 2nd generation. The issue was with DRM and HDCP that the old firetv was not compliant. It was annoying and I wondered when the day would come where I would have to upgrade. Well, this weekend was the time and I went with the firetv cube. Everything worked as expected so I'm a happy camper. What was cool was that I could tell alexa to turn on/off the tv, set a timer to watch GOT at 8:00. So pretty neat from my perspective. I'm a bit behind the times on technology so every little bell/whistle goes a long way. I'm still running things through my rotel rsp-985 pre that I got in 1998
They're advertising a 14 day free trial on their website. Will definitely have to partake in that at some point once I can form a game plan of movies to watch. They have so much stuff I've wanted to check out over the years, but collecting their stuff is quite expensive. This is really cool news!
Please share your experience, I am very interested. Thanks.
