I always wonder if that would make a difference... i can imagine a good power supply will have it's effects. It would be subtle i guess (if any)?

To be honest, I do find a good power supply or cable (with good shielding) help reduce picture noise levels and improves the sound stage but that's another conversation.

I used the original cable that came with solo4k for about few days then changed to this purifier and I did notice a difference but has been some years now since using it.

Like I say to users it's best to try it in your setup and see how you find it and of you don't like it return it for a full refund.

I have got my linear psu for my oppo aka poop coming soon.

You might turn on auto resolution so the Dune won't scale, but your display will.
I was referring to Video Mode setting, like Maximum Video Mode, Auto Framerate or Color Depth.

I tried Auto Resolution enable/disable, but it didn’t seem to make much difference.

Display is a 65” LG OLED C8.

The pic you took, is this from a static test image or motion?
Is this clip available for download somewhere?

The biggest difference I saw was how poorly the Dune handled motion, unlike the Oppo.

Is there a reason you don't want your OLED doing the upscaling?

Not at all. It’s just that it didn’t seem to make a difference in reducing the motion artifacts when playing off the dune.

I took my Solo 4K out of retirement and going to use it for 1080p files and use Pro 4K for 2160p files.

Fast forward is so useless on Pro 4K because it crashes the unit so easily but works fine on Solo 4K. I wish Dune would fix fast forward on Pro 4K.

I prefer to use the arrow keys. Up= 1min FW, Right = 10sec FW etc.
Give it a try.

Yes i have been using that Right button a lot to forward a bit but still crashes the unit really really easily. And its not like im spamming the right button either.

Crashes the unit on both 2160p and 1080p files.

This test video can be downloaded from this link: https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...ce-evaluation/
This video used for 1080p->1080p chroma upscaling, banding and clipping evaulation only.
RTD1295's SD upscaling quality is superior, same as Lanczos3 and significally better than Amlogic and Rockchip.

Weird.
As you see this is not something normal and not experience by other owners.
You can try resseting your device.

This is the case for playback via network and USB?

Why not use the Solo for 2160p as well? As long as it is not HDR, you won't need the Pro 4K.

And how do you switch between the 2? Do you cover the IR with your hand to turn the other one off?
There is no way to let the IR remote distinguish between the Solo and the Pro...

Well yea but 95% of 2160p movies are with HDR.

I use the same backlight remote for both. No need to cover IR, just turn off Solo or Pro from the switch at the back.

Damn it would have been awesome if Solo 4K had HDR.

If you 'find' tv episodes these days, some of them are 4K (x.265/h.265) as well, and not HDR. But yeah, UHD's are usually HDR.

I asked dune if they will have any sort of parental lock for the player and just recieved the below reply.

"Hello!

Next firmware will include a possibility to protect any folder via a pin-code."

My reply was when can we expect it?

I asked about the pro 4k and solo 4k.

Different Amazon Video app is available via AptoideTV market. As I see it is the app for Andoroid TV. It works more smooth, is optimized for Remote Controller, no audio breaks, and it adapts quality to connection bandwidth. As I see, trailers switch to HD after while of playback. But it is rather 720p.
At AptoideTV I see onemore app, Amazon Prime Video - this is same as in Google Play.
Question: Is Amazon Prime working now? Not sure about this, I installed two versions (Amazon Prime / Amazon video), started both apps and logged in. After that I can see (and navigate) throw the menus and even start trailers, but when I start a video screen keeps dark and after a while I get an error message to try it later...

Is there any possibility to watch Amazon Prime? Even 720p / stereo would be enough for me to start...

I’ve kinda been monitoring this thread, haven’t used my 4K for quite a while. I work in NorCal and the player stays in Vegas. But it seems Dune has fallen? Is this the general consensus? My first player was an Himedia box. Got rid of that and have 4 dune players. Be cause they were well above the rest, used high end components and just worked. While I know no box is perfect. What happened to Dune? What is the general opinion? Are you guys getting rid of your Dune players?

I wouldn't say that. Dune and most of the others (Zidoo, etc.) are just having difficulty getting things working properly with the Android system. There isn't really a perfect box at this time.

In a way, Dune has fallen. Leaving Sigma was a big blow to their product line. In my opinion they are still struggling to get these boxes working correctly with Realtek. It's been a step in the wrong direction.

With that said I have faith in Dune and believe they will eventually get things back on track. Some in this thread will lead you to believe Dune is "dead" and that these players are "garbage", but those same few people still own these "garbage" players. Some people like to bitch just to bitch.
