Nevertheless, I still can’t get rid of the red warning dot. Not a big deal, just curious why it continues to be unsuccessful.

Edit: OMG, when I went back to my ATV after it went to sleep, the red dot warning is gone. Maybe enabling iCloud sharing in the Home app was what cleared the issue.
How do you get rid of the red warning dot if you don't have an iphone or an ipad. I do have an apple id but no longer any apple devices but the ATV4. Any ideas?

Sorry, I have no suggestion for you. Perhaps someone else will know.

I assume the problem will be solved when the commercial release of tvOS 13 ships.

I might type 2K for 1080p.

Anybody experiencing audio dropouts on the Netflix app? Not happening in iTunes, Netflix only. Network speed is 60+mbs when this was occurring.

Elunevision 4K 112" Audioweave motorized screen, Epson Pro Cinema 4040 projector, Emotiva XPA-5 amplifier, Denon AVR X4400h receiver, XTZ M6 LCR, XTZ S5 surround, XTZ 1X12 and Definitive Technology Powerfield subwoofers, RSL C34E Atmos speakers, Apple TV 4K, Panasonic DP-UB820

I actually listened to quite a bit of Netflix content today (Stranger Things, Glow), and experienced no audio problems. I have a 200MBPs connection.

I noticed the Netflix app has been updated so not sure if it’s the ATV beta or Netflix app causing this.

This might be inconvenient, but perhaps try resetting all network settings on iPad. Reconnecting to network via wifi and then bring it closer. Make sure Bluetooth is on.

It hasn’t reappeared for me. Did you try the same steps with the Home app like I reported in a previous post?

I spoke too soon. This evening while watching the second episode of the new Glow season, I experienced a couple of 2-3 second audio dropouts at the beginning of the show. As the show progressed, there were no more dropouts.

Are you finding this on auto play next episode? Auto play was broke for a while on the beta - now it sort of half works for me. I just exit Netflix fire up YouTube and then back to Netflix and it is all fine. Bit of PITA but better than audio drop-outs. - George

MLB not as flakey but still flakey. No more network disconnects. Games open. But some times the game opens as if not in progress. Still have to close and reopen, open twice. Then it works fine.

I'm not impressed with MLB.TV/MLB.COM technically and when you call them for THEIR issues, its useless.

Seems that despite baseball being America's past time the IT support for MLB.COM is contracted off shore somewhere.

It is better with the newest beta however.

Complete disaster
Sorry for delay...kinda out of options to try since you are on wi-fi.

As a last ditch effort, I’d temporarily try:

Turn off - 1 of your 2 ATVs - Only 1 will be used for “testing”
Re-set the “testing” ATV4K to: Video - 4K SDR, Match: both On
Reboot “testing” ATV4K
THEN: Reboot router

Cross your fingers.

Thank you.

By Reboot you mean restart?

I already did this several times. It is a fault with AppleTV 4k device.

No, not just a restart. Either turnoff power to device or unplug (15-30 sec) then power back up.

I am continuing to get brief audio dropouts in the first several minutes of watching Glow episodes. I haven't been watching anything else, so I don't know if this is a general problem, or specific to this show.

I am getting audio drop outs while watching "Another Life". These drop outs seemed to happen repeatedly so I timed them. Every 2 min and 10 seconds, give or take 5 seconds. I rebooted the Apple TV and started watching again. For the first 10-15 mins there were no audio drop outs. But around 15 mins in they started again. Same repeating rhythm of drop out for 2-3 seconds, every 2 mins and 10 seconds.

I rebooted the Apple again and same identical thing began happening. I changed to a different show and had no more Audio drop outs. My Apply TV is wired connection to a solid 500gb internet speed. So I don't believe it is the internet connection. but it is acting like a Buffering related issue? The predictable 2 min repeat mark is interesting.

I started this one last night and didn't get any audio dropouts. I watched it on the Apple TV 4k as well.

Hi lujan,

Interesting! Indicates this is an isolated issue. I will assume you are on the latest Beta TvOs Beta 13.5. Thanks for the data point.

I watched another episode of Glow. I experienced six audio dropouts in the first two minutes, approximately every 15 seconds. I stopped the episode, restarted from the beginning, had one brief dropout, and then the episode played without incident to the end. So there is no consistency, IMO.

I ran Speedtest, which is installable on the ATV from the App Store, and my wireless 5GHz connection registered 234MBPs download speed. I don’t think the network is the issue.

Only several of us have reported this issue. Maybe not very many Netflix viewers right now?

Sometime in September. Most likely late in the month. One of the most challenging Apple beta cycles I've seen!

I have netflix and just added Amazon Prime via ATV and noticed the audio from Prime is wacky louder than both iTunes and Netflix, it's very annoying Amazon should figure this issue out with audio because advances with PQ & AQ is night & day .

I watched a couple of other shows besides Glow, and there were no audio dropouts. Confusing...

Edit: The other two shows were not HDR. Glow is Dolby Vision. Maybe that could be the difference.

Another issue:

iTunes Movies are completely out of sync with my Bluetooth headphones.
Netflix/YouTube Apps on AppleTV are fine - all in syc.

I have not tried the new audio ‘AirPlay/Bluetooth’ sync feature as I think you also need to be on iPhone/iPad beta which I am not risking.

Hoping I get a million dollars for this report.
