PC as a media streamer through my AVR keeps resetting

Hi all, I have a PC that I use as a media streamer. when the PC is plugged directly into the TV using an HDMI cable, its fine. But when I have the PC going through my Denon AVR, then to the TV, sometimes the PC resets itself. Do you know why this would happen?

Details might be helpful.

What version of Windows is on the PC ?

Does the PC run a media server (like MPC-HC) connected via HDMI to the Denon ?

Is there an error message like "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" ?

I reimaged the PC instead of reinstalling the display drivers because of other issues. The PC has a 1050Ti video card. its running windows 10 and there is no media server running on it. there is no error message on the PC before it resets. its like someone hits the reset button on the PC. it just turns off and on again.

I second the ask in the right forum comment.

And if you're still overclocking just buy better PC hardware instead.

velocci,

Someone had a random-restart problem with an EVGA GTX 1050Ti (but no Denon). Suggestions involved the power supply or re-seating the 1050Ti card.

Crazy notion: does the 1050Ti do more work (like upscaling or chroma upsampling) when connected to the Denon instead of directly to the TV ?

"There's 2 separate issues and I'm not sure if they're related or not.

1: Computer shuts off and turns itself on. It doesn't matter what I'm doing. I could be playing games or just browsing the web. I've seen this happen 30 mins after I start the computer and other times it can run fine for 8 hours+ and not shut off.

2: Windows launches into a black screen and it hangs for a minute or so. The startup initially looks fine until it's supposed to get to the windows password/pin prompt. Instead of that prompt, I just get a black screen. I'm only able to move my mouse around and after a few minutes I get a blue screen with a windows message saying DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE"
