MQA streaming only?

Hi all,
Sorry to post something that's probably been posted before and I'm not trying to start a discussion about the quality of MQA tunes. I had been using Tidal and my Bluesound Node 2, but Tidal has gotten too expensive for me and I quit my subscription.
Is there any other way of playing MQA files other than having to stream them from some service?
I had some given to me on a USB stick, but it's only a dozen songs or so. Will they ever be available in any format?

Dan

Does the Node 2 not decode MQA files on an attached USB storage device?

Yes it does. I was given these MQA files on a stick as a sampler.
My question was weather there's a current way to play MQA files other than streaming from a service? Is it possible to get them on physical media??

You can import MQA CDs from Japan... That's about the only other way to acquire what are essentially licensed goods (MQA charges a license fee to everyone).

I don't, but I do remember techmoan on YouTube has done a video on it so there may be links there. He had difficulty because apparently playing MQA CDs required a different license level so a cheap DAC with MQA wouldn't work without workarounds.

Does that mean you don't already have a networked computer or NAS to store the MQA files on or do you just simply want to know where you can purchase MQA track/whole album file downloads from?

Is there anyway to share an account with someone? Since my wife stopped working the streets, we're bloody broke!

I don't have any hands-on experience with MQA (at all), and my intention is not to take this down an "MQA - Good or Bad" direction, but I just wanted to point out (what I believe to be) the obvious:

- (Non-MQA) CDs are a great option, IMO, for an audiophile-on-a-budget.... I pay for Qobuz Studio (Hi-Rez), but 16/44.1 still sounds pretty great to my ears... large selection, wide compatability, easy to rip/back-up/stream.... JMO.
