Device/dongles supporting TrueHD atmos

I have an LG oled tv n atmos soundbar connected via ARC. I wanted to stream TrueHD atmos files from NAS but tv built in player can only play DD+ atmos. So I’m looking to get an external device/dongles to connect directly into atmos soundbar to takeover the streaming duty so I can enjoi TrueHD atmos. Would appreciate any advice n recommendations. Thanks.

Try a SHield TV. I use a couple of them and have no problem playing Atmos to a Vizio Speaker Bar in one UHD setup and to an Onkyo receiver in another UHD setup.

Not much. I stream from my NAS to my Samsung UHD 8500 player and get true Atmos. My NAS is attached to my router so the 8500 easily sees it. Streaming apps like Plex or Emby cannot do true Atmos. At some point Netflix will roll out their lossy Atmos to other platforms beside the few that support it now.

I use Plex daily on my Shield TVs to stream lossless Atmos and lossless DTS:X from my UHD BD rips.

I think the MiiBox 3 can do HD audio passthrough with Kodi, but not the more widely available MiiBox or MiiBox S. That said, for plenty of other reasons (updates, general stability, other features like Plex Server) I'd lean towards the Shield TV as others have recommended. Mine is serving me quite well as my main streaming client in my theater as well as Plex Server for the rest of the house (to other lower-end Android TV and Roku clients).

Some have reported Vero4K+ also allows bitstream. Need more confirmation though.
The Zidoo x9s or the newer version should be capable of. Again, need confirmation from others since I don't have one.
